MTB Vietnam Park

I've heard nothing but great things about this park, so let's explore.

Given everyones advice i've changed the meeting location to the Upper Charles Trail Parking Lot. (The one behind wendy's/sprint store off of fortune blvd)

Take I-495 S toward Cape Cod; Take exit 20 for MA-85 N toward Hopkinton; Turn left onto

MA-85 N/Cedar St: Turn left; Proceed 1.7 miles and destination will be on the right.

As my personal opinion, Vietnam Park is good for BMX "jumpers" and MTB downhillers not good for cross country etc. Trails do not have average maintains etc. If anyone like MTB jumping and acrobatics there is a nice place in the 1st part of power line that was build up for it. Have fun! Yes, if anyone does not handle well MTB balance better have proper protection. This park has big rocks and dip drops on trails. The same apply if you have good quality MTB or just any MTB. You can brake your MTB very easy on those trails too. And some areas are the private property with full of industrial trash, so look for flat tires.

Hey guys, can we schedule a Saturday the 20th ride at Nam? I'm new to the group and have been itching to check out the trails there, I've heard such good things. I'm currently nursing some pretty banged up toes from barefoot shenanigans this past 4th but I'll be ready to ride by then.

I looked for you guys, but never made the connection. Ended up hooking up with some local riders for a great tour. These trails are absolutely amazing. I've ridden them a few times by myself, but following peeps that know the trail is a completely different experience. I'm going to start riding this place at least twice a month. Anybody interested in doing a regular ride here? Anybody interested in doing a regular ride anywhere in the metro west?

Sounds good, I come up from RI so can't make it too early in the morning :-)

Yes, I'd like to look at this park, too. I was ready to make it myself as I usually do but as far as we can team up, let's do it. See what days and time we can make it.

Hi, If you ride Sunday, I might be able to make it. Haven't ridden here in a couple of years, but the trails were really good. I'll check in later this evening to see if you have moved the day.

I've been watching the forecast if it decides to rain on Saturday I will move this meetup to Sunday, but I will wait until Friday night to make the call.

Hi everyone! I will not be able to participate. I plan be at NH this weekend for MTB festival at Pats Peak Ski Resort for X-Country Challenge race. If someone wants to try Up and Dow hill MTB race, here is the information (http://www.patspeak.com/bike.html). I never did it before and would like to try. See Ya'all on trails!

10 AM or 1 PM start? I'll be coming off a 24 hour shift so I figure the smartest thing to do is try out Vietnam.

I ride here, I thought this was in Milford?

The forest is in 3 different towns. NEMBA's part is in Milford but the parking lot that looks the easiest to deal with is in Holliston.

Wow, I didn't know that! I haven't spent a ton of time there, but it's a really good trail system. If I'm here that weekend, I'll join you guys.

I always wanted to look at this park. I heard that this park has nice stiff trail with good elevation along the power line. Here is link with info + the trail map: http://www.nemba.org/Articles/VietnamFAQs.html
