ARR/RLAG Club Ride @ Reimers Ranch

Austin Ridge Rider & Ride Like A Girl Monthly Club Ride at Reimers Ranch.

Arrive at ~8:30am, wheels down on the trail at 9:00am. If you arrive late you will miss the ride start.

All mountain bikers are welcome, riders will break into groups based on skill level (beginner, intermediate, advanced) and pace (fast, casual, slow). This is a No Drop ride so no one gets left behind or lost, we will get you back to the trail head for the after party;)

Remember to bring your helmet, plenty of water, and cash for the park entry fee. Everyone is also invited to bring a dish to share after the ride: i.e. cookies, chips, dips, salads, fruit, drinks, etc.

Where to Park:

Park Here

You do NOT have to be an ARR member to attend the club ride but we do ask that you sign a waiver and properly wear a helmet when riding. We will encourage you to join though, it’s only $20/year that goes toward trail development and mountain bike evangelism in and around Austin.

The word from the Trail Steward out at Reimers is that nary a drop of rain has been received, so barring further inclement weather, this ride is on! For those of you who have not been before, this is a Travis County park, so you will need to pay $10 in cash at the gate if you don't have an annual pass. It's a further mile or so to the mountain bike trailhead. Follow the signs, as there are now multiple parking areas out there. We ride at 9 am sharp, so factor in your travel time ... and bring plenty of water!

There's 13 Club Directors, perhaps one of them could pinch-hit for you on 5/17 to hold a Monthly Ride Rain Date at RR if 5/10 is a washout?

If this monthly ride is called off due to rain, will there be an ARR rain date ride at RR the following Saturday?
Everyone's itching to ride the trail after missing the last two months.

Hi, Jim - unfortunately, my schedule does not permit me to be at RR the following weekend; however, I encourage you to head out there yourself and ride if you have the chance! It is indeed unfortunate that we have to keep calling off rides due to rain - I do try to throw in some Flat Creek rides to make up for the missed rides. Hopefully Reimer's will be spared this weekend!

We are watching the weather closely at ARR Central and will post up here if Saturday's ride is affected by the high chance of rain Thursday & Friday. Stay tuned...

Folks, it's starting to get warm, and Reimers doesn't have a lot of tree cover. I'd get there early and prepare to ride out at 9 am. The other week when I rode there, 2 liters of water was not enough.

A lap of Reimers is about 12 miles, with a good bit of climbing. It is fairly exposed, so prepare to experience direct sun and/or wind. There is a fast downhill with some wooden trestles to jump, if anyone wants a picture of themselves.
