Late Notice : Intermediate Ride at City Park

Last minute ride at City Park

This is an intermediate ride.

You should be able to ride up ledges and climbs that require good amounts of cardio.

There are drops that require you to huck or walk.

As mentioned before by another rider....

"This trail is known to introduce you to the nearest emergency room."

This trail is known to be one of the most technical in Austin.

We will be doing 1 to two laps. We will take breaks when needed and session sections.

So, if you want to learn to ride City Park better and get the trail memorized then join in on this ride.

What to bring :

Lights - lots of light

Helmet - If you do not have a helmet I will not ride with you because I don't like the sight of brains.

Knee - elbow - body armor if you have it. (preferred)

working bike and everything to keep it that way.

Ride safe :)

Had an absolute riot. The people were great. Even better next time when I realize they are yelling "GET SOME!" and not "LOOK AT YOUR THUMB!"

    Ok thanks for the info.

I will leave a report after the ride.
Sad that the motorcycles are making a mess. Baby-heads are no fun at CP.

Started the ride a little after 6pm. A couple ridges single speeders led the way and showed some good lines to take. Curt caught up to us on one of the first climbs. We all did some good climbing and descents. No wrecks or mech. Ride was perfect and great weather to boot. Great group to ride with and we had a blast. A few riders went for a second fast lap at the end :)
I saw a few places where baby heads were out on the trail that looked out of place but overall it was good conditions. We all had a lot of light and at night city park was an all new trail. Seems I went for more ledges than usual because my lights made them not seem as spiteful I guess :) great times.

We will be doing a little warm up at the beginning that may be 1 mile or so then we will head back to the parking lot to get to the main trail head.

If you are not there when we roll by, then we will be moving pretty slow so you should be able to catch up. If we see you we can wait around till you get ready.

Rode there last evening and the motor-heads have kicked up a lot of baby-heads, etc. It was dusk and visibility was becoming an issue for my old eyes. I just can't imagine riding that course at night, even with 1800 cp.
I'll pass this time, but let us know how it was!
