Beginner Ride At Core Creek.

Let's get over the mid-week hump with some rubber on dirt fun.

This will be a beginner paced ride. Faster riders are welcome to come and split off from the main group.
Distance will vary from 6-9 miles, with a stop at the parking lot after 6. We can keep riding as long as we have sun.

This is an off road ride. The terrain has some technical spots but we can take our time to practice skills or walk when neccesary. A mountain bike is a necessity. We will be riding over roots, rocks, logs and wooden bridges.

Helmets Required.

We missed the rain. We think. At one point it might have been raining or it was just residual water falling from the trees. There were slick patches, mud puddles, but we had fun. Hit up Broke back first then the other side. 6 ft hill was in good shape, most made it up no problem.

Pouring in Yardley, lightening up now but I'm out. What's the best way to get a reasonably priced bike rack for sedan trunk? Hope it stays dry over at Core Creek and you all enjoy your ride!

Core Creek seem to be on the eastern side of that line. Maybe a little tacky, but as long as we dont get much more rain, should be sweet!

I've done the tow path near me and I'd really like to bike @ Core Creek --just have to figure out how to get my bike in the sedan trunk with bungee ties..,

    June 20, 2014

    • Chris P

Teena, if your front wheel has a quick release and your seats fold down, you might be able to fit it in and close the trunk.

      June 22, 2014

    • jilber

Teena, if you need a ride to Core Creek tomorrow, I have a roof rack for two bikes and will be in your area before the ride. It would be no problem. Let me know

I might not make it to this one. Will change my RSVP accordingly if necessary :/

would love it if someone can help me navigate the sections of the towpath in Bristol through Morrisville. thanx!

    June 19, 2014

    • Chris P

Ed I think the towpath detour onto the side of the train tracks is actually the official detour of that part of the towpath.

      June 22, 2014

    • Chris P

Carol we'll figure out a time to hit the canal.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
