It is home to more than 200 named ice and mixed climbs, most within a 15-minute walk of the Park entrance. The Park and its infrastructure are jointly owned and managed by the City of Ouray, the nonprofit Ouray Ice Park, Inc. (OIPI), and a mix of other private and public landowners.

I'm going to have to take a raincheck with the short notice. I would be interested in a trip around feb if anyone is interested. If anyone is interested I'm thinking about a 5 day ice climbing course with the American alpine institute

Barry and others, I am interested in a February trip to Ouray. We are lucky someone wants to plan this trip soon, but that time is fast approaching. Please let me know if there is a later trip.

I am interested in this trip but I am not sure I can get back from Europe in time. I have two sets of ice tools, extra crampons and a few screws plus lots of rope.

Same boat as Barry. It's been awhile since I've climbed ice. Was actually planning on taking a sjmg intermediate course the next week to tune up, but would prefer to climb more collegially. WI 3 no problem I imagine. WI5 possible problem...but if no one tells me to take a hike, I will strongly consider. BTW, some nice back country climbs in the area, and I have no problem using guides.

Hi Mike and Barry, No skill requirement, I just want to make sure people know what they're getting into and enough to climb safer! I assume we would break into mostly top rope groups at the ice park. Could be interested in a backcountry trip as well.

I would like to talk with group about their goals before I commit, as stated I have good grasp of basic ICE climbing skills and would go on this trip to climp top ropes and improve.I would not want to hold anyone back from doing harder climbs. would love to take skis.
