Come see an action crime drama, "Homefront" at 7:10PM on Friday for $2 admission – that's right, TWO BUCKS! Tropicana Cinemas is located in the lot behind the Rebel station on the northwest corner of Tropicana and Pecos with plenty of well-lighted parking. I'll be there at 6:45PM – find the old Homefronter with a grey beard inside the building, lurking in the lobby. Note that food and drink brought from outside is not allowed in the building. Optional meeting to socialise afterward at Putter's, thirty yards away.
☼ "Homefront" is directed by Gary Fleder (who did "Runaway Jury", "Don't Say a Word", and "Kiss the Girls") about widowed DEA agent Phil Broker (Jason Statham) who retires to a small Louisiana town for the sake of his nine-year-old daughter Maddy (Izabela Vidovic) who fights off a boy (Austin Craig) bullying her at school, leading to a confrontation with the local drug-lord Gator Bodine (James Franco) and features Kate Bosworth and Winona Ryder.
