Monthly movie: Side Effects

The winner of the monthly vote for this Saturday's meetup was the Steven Soderbergh/Rooney Mara/Channing Tatum thriller Side Effects. It's showing at the Islington VUE, which we haven't been to for a little while, so we'll go there this time. It's on at 5.50pm, so we'll meet in the cinema (upstairs, in the centre of the foyer, between the ticket machines and pop corn kiosks) from 5pm.

I'm not sure how likely this is to sell out, but as always please book online here to make sure you get a ticket, or get there in plenty of time to get one. If it's general seating we'll sit together, if it's allocated we'll just meet before and after the film. We'll go to the Glassworks pub one floor down in the same shopping centre after the film.

Hope to see you there!

liked it lots, lots of fun and was more entertaining after we tried, but running out of time, failed to upick the mysterious/profound twists afterwards :)

I don't know how close the votes were between the top 3 favourites?, so I wonder if another film would have won, had I not voted for Side Effects myself!??
Considering I want to see the film, but knew that I can't join you tomorrow.....!
Maybe I was foolish to still give it my vote...... ;) . Anyway have a great evening, all of you and I will simply go and watch it another night, "alone"....... :( .. ;)

Incidently, I saw "Shell" on Wednesday and thought it very good, though not cheerful, but powerful and gripping.

    See you another time.

Hi Tom, Not that I'll be there tonight, unfortunately......... :( , but in answer to your question, this is what Gabriel wrote (as visible at the top of this page): ....." It's on at 5.40pm, so we'll meet in the cinema (upstairs, in the centre of the foyer, between the ticket machines and pop corn kiosks) from 5pm........" Good luck in finding the group and have fun tomorrow evening. Meet you at another gathering, Marianne

THe Chinese government is only doing the same as other governments have done. Read No Logo by Naomi Klein if you have any doubts. I vote for Stoker.

Am seeing "Paperboy" on Sunday, and "Shell" on Wednesday... Have seen "Arbitrage" already.
Not interested in "Stoker", missed a preview of "Robot and Frank" and also one of "Side Effects".... :(
Am voting for "Side Effects", but I'm hoping it won't win ;) , because I still want to see that, only........ I can't make it on the 16th... :(
Already have two other, conflicting, engagements that evening, both of which I am expected to attend.......... :(

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
