A second chance to see Park Chan-Wook's twisted drama 'Stoker', about the odd love triangle between a girl, her mother and uncle after the death of the father. This is the Oldboy and I'm a Cyborg director's first English language film, with Mia Wasikowska and Nicole Kidman.
We've seen this as an Orange Wednesday meet with the group but basically as I want to see it I've put it up for this Sunday as well, where it's showing at the Cineworld Haymarket at 6.30. So we'll meet in the bar area in the cinema from 6. It's a Sunday so probably just a quick drink in the Captain's Cabin round the corner after.
We vote on what film to see monthly, meet up for a showing and go for a drink to discuss! Simple as that! There are also smaller sub-meetups for less known and art house and indie films.
We're not film snobs in this group- we see both thoughtful, foreign language films at indie cinemas and 'leave your brain at home' Hollywood blockbusters at multiplexes. Personally it depends on my mood. So if you like films, come along, watch a film and discuss it over a drink.
Please read the FAQ if you have any questions about the group, the organisers, emails and so on.
