This month's vote-winning movie was Now you see me, about magicians pulling off a heist, with Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Jessie Eisenberg etc.
For a bit of a change, I'm choosing the Curzon Chelsea for the venue, where it's showing at 6.20 on Saturday, so we'll meet from 5.45 in the small seating area of the cinema (upstairs by the ticket desk). It's a large auditorium but opening weekend for this film so it's possible it'll sell out; please book online here if you want to make sure you get a ticket.
If you haven't been to the cinema before and are coming by tube, you may want to get a bus from Sloane Square (district/circle line) or South Kensington (district/circle/piccadilly) as its at the opposite side of Kings Road from Sloane Square. Travel info is here.
After the film we'll go to the Trafalgar pub next door.
We vote on what film to see monthly, meet up for a showing and go for a drink to discuss! Simple as that! There are also smaller sub-meetups for less known and arthouse and indie films.
We're not film snobs in this group- we see both thoughtful, foreign language films at indie cinemas and 'leave your brain at home' Hollywood blockbusters at multiplexes. Personally it depends on my mood. So if you like films, come along, watch a film and discuss it over a drink.
