GRAVITY by Alfonso Cuarón at the PeckhamPlex

The Science Fiction Book Club cordially invites the London Movie Meetup Group to join us to see GRAVITY.

Cinema & showtime

Medical engineer Dr. Ryan Stone is on her first Space Shuttle mission accompanied by veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky, who is commanding his final expedition. During a spacewalk, debris from a satellite crashes into the space shuttle Explorer, leaving it mostly destroyed, and stranding them in space with limited air. Without means of communication with Earth, they must cooperate to survive.

It's been getting excellent reviews since it opened the 70th Venice Film Festival.

Great ... :) so hope to find you all in the pub..I will get there about 8pm if anyone wants to meet outside if also concerned of not finding others let me know otherwise see you in there..

    November 9, 2013

  • Michelle S.

I'm aiming to get there around 8pm or thereafter. A few people seem to have changed their mind about going to the 6:30pm one, so they will be in the pub from 6.30 onwards then we will all leave out from there to go to see the film.

    November 9, 2013

  • Bertie

So is everyone now going to the later 3D one and meeting at the pub at 6.30 instead? Gotta admit I'm pretty confused at all this.

    November 9, 2013

  • Darren

    Thanks for the info Michelle

    November 9, 2013

  • Darren

    November 9, 2013

  • Annabelle

How do we know where exactly to meet. This is my first one and am attending by myself :)

    November 9, 2013

    • Michelle S.

Hi Annabelle we are meeting at the Montpelier Pub, I think we are all coming by ourselves. The address is: The Montpelier
      43 Choumert Road,
London, SE15 4AR -Its 5mins from the cinema.

      November 9, 2013

  • Michelle S.

Darren, Amber, Elcira, Stacey and anyone else who might want to see the[masked]D viewing. Why don't we meet at the Montpelier at 8.20pm and then head to the cinema? The details for the pub are listed above. Sorry to join the splinter group but I have heard this film is amazing in 3D!

    November 9, 2013

  • Darren

To be honest I don't know the area, so open to suggestions
. Lets aim for the 8.55pm viewing if that's ok.

    November 8, 2013

  • Marianne

Sorry, have not been responding for a while, but I discovered yesterday that the Meet-Up emails have been "bouncing".......!??
So not been getting them, seems to be fixed now.

Won't be joining you on Saturday, as had already arranged to go see GRAVITY, with someone on Sunday, in Wandsworth (tickets booked).

    See you some other time.

  • Emilio

Hi guys. Just seen it (sorry for not waiting) in 3D Extreme at the Vue... totally worthy and the 3D actually makes it... no ok, I don't want to provoke a spoiler alert.
Anyway, for sci-fi lovers it's a great movie, but for non sci-fi lovers is a great movie as well... as actually it's not BEEEP BEEEEP BEEEEEEEEEEP... and a lot of BEEEEEEEEP ;)

    For my taste: *****

    November 6, 2013

  • steve t.

If this movie can be moved to a 3D showing or perhaps the IMAX that would be awesome!

    October 17, 2013

  • Mark B.

Don't think this is the 3D version Darren...not sure though.

    October 3, 2013

    • Mark B.

Hey Darren, yeah, pretty obvious this sort of film would be better in 3D lol....i'm not sure..maybe email Gerard, and ask him if its 3D...he's the Organiser of this event,so he would know 4 sure.

      October 4, 2013

    • Mark B.

But..2 be honest..think he woulda specified if it was 3D..thats why I don't think it is.

      October 4, 2013

  • Raffaele C.

I've watched it in 3D, and its really worth the extra money (id even say this movie should be watched on Imax, because the vfx are stunning)
Incredible movie with Cuaron's style cinematography, will probably be joining you guys to watch it again cause is just that good!

    October 4, 2013

  • Darren
