Dr. Will Caster is an artificial intelligence researcher who strives to create a machine that possesses sentience and collective intelligence. Extremists who oppose technological advancement target him, shooting him and other researches with radioactively-tainted bullets so that the poisoning will kill them even if the assassination fails, but their actions drive him toward his goal. Caster also wants to become part of the new technology, and his wife Evelyn and his best friend Max Waters, also researchers, question the wisdom of this drive. When his mind is downloaded into a computer to try and save his life, Caster's goal to acquire knowledge becomes one to acquire power, and he seems to be unstoppable.
Basic plan - Exact film time TBC
630 - meet at [The Lazy Fox, 18 Farm Lane London SW6 1PP] for food/drinks.
720 - Walk to cinema. [LINK]
730 - programme starts.
745 - Film starts.
We vote on what film to see monthly, meet up for a showing and go for a drink to discuss! Simple as that! There are also smaller sub-meetups for less known and art house and indie films.
We're not film snobs in this group- we see both thoughtful, foreign language films at indie cinemas and 'leave your brain at home' Hollywood blockbusters at multiplexes. Personally it depends on my mood. So if you like films, come along, watch a film and discuss it over a drink.
Please read the FAQ if you have any questions about the group, the organisers, emails and so on.
I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
