Mood Indigo

Directed by Michel Gondry (Be Kind Rewind, The Science of Sleep, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind), Mood Indigo is a fantasy romance set in a surreal version of Paris.  It tells the story of Colin (Romain Duris), a wealthy bachelor who falls in love with Chloe (Audrey Tautou).  An inventive sort (his primary objective before meeting her was to invent a cocktail-making piano) when Chloe is stricken with an usual illness caused by a flower growing in her lungs he goes looking for a cure to keep his love alive.

No-one faint with shock that it's me putting up a romantic film.

Based on the 1947 novel Froth on the Daydream by Boris Vian the movie also stars Gad Elmaleh and Omar Sy (of The Intouchables fame).  The film's visual work has been singled out for praise and while response has been a little mixed it is currently 6.6/10 on IMDB and was recipient of Best Production Design at the César Awards.  The film is in French but will have English subtitles.

Please note the actual screening time is 4.40pm, but meet up doesn't allow entering that anything except the four quarter hours.  All the screenings I could find in zone one were in the £13-15 range so I figured at least this way the Cineworld card holders could get a bargain this time lol.

You can book tickets here.  Remember that if you register with Cineworld's website and are logged in at the time of booking you will get 10% discount.

Those who have RSVP'd will get further details the night before the event, and we'll aim to go on for a drink before the movie.

I'm just writing up the meeting arrangements now. We will meet before the film but it will be at the cinema, though they do have a small bar there. We'll be going on for proper drinks after :-)
