Word after the advanced screenings at ComicCon are that it's Excellent!

YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO.

The story of Dredd takes place on a fictional Earth created as a result of the Atomic Wars. Survivors of this period are living in megacities, which protects its citizens from the Cursed Earth, a radioactive desert environment populated by mutants. The main story takes place in Mega-City One, where the police who are now called judges have the power to use police brutality to some extent to fight extreme murders. One man, Judge Dredd (Karl Urban), a senior law enforcement officer, teams up with a cadet called Judge Anderson (Olivia Thirlby) to track down a terrorist organization lead by Ma-Ma (Lena Headey), who is responsible for selling a reality-altering drug called Slo-Mo.

A nice meetup - quite refreshing outing as Dredd 3D was nothing like it's campy predecessor! That, and the company was quite nice to have around... great to meet everyone and hope to see you at a future event.

After the film we will wait outside the cinema entrance for 5-6 minutes to allow people to freshen up after the film and then we will head over to the Red Lion Pub on Kingly Street http://goo.gl/maps/ukmq8 There are closer pubs but this one should be a bit quieter than most and have lots of space :)

I just booked my ticket & my confirmation email has no mention of seat numbers so I think seats are allocated either when you pick up your ticket or its unallocated seating...

Used to read AD2000 back during the ha'penny days. Am seeing Dredd but separately. I actually liked Judge Dredd the movie, although it was just an action film, whilst the real Dredd (I mean...the comicbook Dredd) was more complicated. Plus Lena Headey is in this. Oh yes.
