OK thanks to those who attended last night's movie!
Hopefully nobody missed my mails last week and went to Notting Hill!!

The next monthly meet will be either 1st or 7th April.
The vote list will go up next week, and will be on the poll system.

If you have anything to suggest for the list, please do so here.

Inland Empire
Catch a fire
Beyond Hatred

There aren't a huge amount of promising looking new films for the start of April, so I'll probably add some that are already showing.
I may well do a sub-meetup for Inland Empire this month while its still fresh, so that may come off the list.
All suggestions are welcome... except, of course 'Norbit'.

Yeah OK I'll add that one Mark.
Think i'll do an earlier sub meet for Inland Empire as its not got a very long run.

Hi Gabriel,

Thanks for Satan!!!! I'm sorry I couldn't stay afterwards, early start. But the newbies seemed really interesting and I hope to see them again soon. I would be interested in Inland Empire. I'm not a great fan of Lynch (except Eraserhead and The Elephant Man) but I'm sure we would have a good chat afterwards.

Hope there's some room for 'Sisters'.

Yeah I was going to put up a sub-meetup for Inland Empire but its literally on at about 8 cinemas only, and the only independent one seems to be the Brixton Ritzy.
I doubt many people will want to go there, so it may have to be an >arrrgh!< multiplex in town.
Unless anybody else knows different?!?

Hi there!
Catch a fire would definitely be my first choice. I love Tim Robbins, and the film sounds quite interesting.
I hope to meet you soon,

Beyond hatred and Catch a fire sound good, in that order.

I'll be away first weekend of June so the monthly meet will be on Saturday 9th.
For your consideration...

*'The bothersome man'
*'Black Snake Moan'
*'Black Gold'
*'Ten Canoes'

There are quite a few different kinds of movies there so hopefully it'll be a good vote!
Obviously my choice will be 'Sileni' as its a Svankmajer film based on an Edgar Allan Poe piece, but I imagine that won't be to everyone's tastes so I'll do a sub-meetup if it doesn't win anyway!

Please add your choice of forthcoming movie, but bare in mind that 'Are we done yet?' is banned from the voting list!!!!!

OK the next monthly cinema meet will be 7th July...
I think I'll try to space out the free screenings to later in the month from Aug as otherwise they're both in the same week!!

For your consideration:
*Sketches of Frank Gehry
*Golden Door
*La Vie en Rose
*Wild Blue Yonder
*Tell No One
*War on Democracy

There are others I can't get info on at the moment...
If anybody wants to add anything else, please go ahead.
As long as it's not Hostel 2 I'll be happy.
Yeah I know some people like those films and that's fine but... please feel free to suggest anything else!!
