As we approach the summer movie season, let me take the time to remind everyone about the importance of arriving at events on time. There have been several instances over the past few weeks of members not arriving on time even though seats were saved for them. In addition, some members were put in the daunting position of having to save seats for the group while the event Organizer waited in the lobby for late arrivals. While we have gone out of our way in the past to accomodate these individuals, we realize that it is inconvenient - both for the event Organizer and the members who have arrived on time - for us to continue our former practices.

When you arrive at the theatre, you'll meet the Event Organizer either in front of the theatre or in line as the group waits to be let into the auditorium. If you are running late or cannot find the Organizer when you arrive for the event, please contact them at the phone number listed on their event information. Organizers should be easy to find - they've been instructed to carry this sign with the official Meetup logo on it:

If you arrive at an event and the Organizer is not holding a sign with the recognizable Meetup logo, please contact me after the event is over.

Please arrive at the theatre between 30 minutes to 1 hour before showtime. Most theatres seat audiences 30 minutes before the scheduled showtime. Therefore, we ask that you make every effort to arrive at your events on time. You and your guests must be present when they let us into the theatre in order to sit with the group. Once we are allowed inside the auditorium, Organizers will not save seats for latecomers.

This policy may seem a little rigid, but it's the best way to ensure that our members - as well as our Organizers - enjoy our events. Arriving to our events on time will give you plenty of time to find the Organizer when you arrive at the theatre. Also, you'll get to bond with your fellow OCMF members before the movie starts. Great fellowship amongst our members is just as crucial to the success of our group as our events are.

Thank you for your participation. If there are any questions, please email me.
