The very first movie ever directed by an African American director and filmed in Japan, comes to Irvine.

The Harimaya Bridge

It is BRIDGE between different people and cultures!

Starring the great team from Steven Spielberg’s film, Color Purple, Ben Guillory and Danny Glover (Lethal Weapon, SAW, 2012), the Harimaya Bridge presents a heart-felt bridge between a Japanese family and an African American man, who travels through a rural area of Japan looking for his son’s belongings. Struggling and suffering with different people and culture, he seeks happiness and truth of his family and himself.

This film is directed by Aaron Woolfolk and produced in collaboration between U.S.A, Japan, and Korea. Danny Glover also serves as an executive producer on the film.

Let’s go see it in theater!

Sounds really terrific! I'd enjoy going to see it with a group of movie buffs! Westpark 8 has some interesting and ecclectic films. I really like going to see movies there.
