Annual Fourth of July Dunwoody Parade

Avast Me Hearties! We shall arise with the Dawn and Hoist the Colors in the Annual Fourth of July Dunwoody Parade! There will be much Merrymaking... and Rum aboard "Me Ass Be Dragon" as we ride through Dunwoody bestowing trinkets and treasures upon the lads and lassies of the port of call. The parade will not step off till 9:30...but from past experience....the traffic dictates you arrive early... The ship will be resting at anchor at Mt Vernon Shopping Center. here is a Google link http://maps.google.com/maps/place?hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=qfh&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&resnum=0&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=mt+vernon+shopping+center+Dunwoody,+GA+30350&fb=1&a... The parade proceeds down Mt Vernon to Dunwoody village Parkway and we will end there. The ship will relocate to the Dunwoody Tavern (5488 Chamblee-Dunwoody Road) for a bit of refreshment, some food & Camaraderie! Mayhaps some debauchery? We will be Shuttling Cars to the finish...Dunwoody Tavern...thus carpool if you can, but please arrive early...or else we will shuttle you back after the parade!

AGAIN for those that have trouble remembering last year or who will be new this year. We cannot THROW anything at the crowd! We can HAND...that means place it in the hands of the Kids...and adults. NO WATER CANNONS! No Black powder discharges or discharges of any kind. This parade waits for no one....dress for the 1.5 mile hike in boots or shoes... We will have a cooler of ice water on the ship. Any questions? Drop Ferguss a line.

T'was me first time at this parade. I didn't mind the walking, but next year, I will be treating this no different than a pirate track meet held in Hell. Note to self: it's bloody hot!

Bring your crew colors to hoist up on the ship. The crowds will be so dazzled they will not notice if we do a little pilfering.
