The crew of the Pirates of the Chilibean are askin' their brethren of the Guild to turn out for the Chili Cook Off at Stone Mountain Park and "encourage" the public to vote fer the pirate chili as the Best Chili.  Their ship, the El Dorado, will be docked at their site so it be easy fer ye to find them.  The entrance fee is $10 per person - cash only (children 12 and under are free) and the Park charges $10 per horseless carriage.  This covers more chili and brunswick stew samples than ye can probably hold but the samples do disappear quickly (don't arrive too late!).  This event is sponsored by Miller Lite so thar be beer to be purchased as well as other beverages (no rum sorry to say) so make sure to bring extra coin.  Please be aware that the event won't let ye bring coolers, food nor drink into the event and thar be no comin' and goin' between the event and the parking lot. Thar be bands playin' with the first one scheduled at 10:30 so ye can make a day of it.  Proceeds fer this event go to the charity, Camp Twin Lakes, which is a camp fer children with serious illnesses and diabilities.  Fer more information, check out the event website - www.theatlantachilicookoff.com.

Susan, this event is held inside the state park, with an admission fee for park entrance per vehicle and a separate fee to enter the event. Well worth the expense...err don't forget yer spoon!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
