Join us for the Grand Parade at DRAGONCON! The Parade actually steps off at 10 am...they always want us there early. So come early, socialize, have a snort........and cause some mischief with the Trekies, Furries, and NINJAS!
Here is the official jargon: The parade route is 1/2 mile long and the same as last year. Starts at Woodruff Park (Peachtree and Auburn Ave.), goes north on Peachtree to the Hyatt Regency and then turns right onto Baker, continuing to Courtland and another right turn. The parade ends at the Marriott Marquis' back entrance. On parade morning, vehicles and drivers should be at Woodruff Park no later than 9:00AM. Marchers should be start assembling in Woodruff Park between 9 and 9:30AM. Nothing to be given away this year.....no tossing no handing nothing..per the director! No float this year as we are short a berth, tow vehicle and driver(s). Anyone interested contact Ferguss POST haste! Easily accessable from 5 Points MARTA station, so those who say they can't afford the transportation, well............... See ye' thar and don't forget the RUM!...err I meant to say FLAGS!

There are many paid parking areas around the DragonCon area however, they do jack the rates up during the Con so expect sticker shock! $25 to $30 a day is average for parking. Scope it out on the Internet. Marta is the best and cheapest way to get there.
