The Little Theater Movie and Talk Meetup Group Monthly Meetup

  • March 1 · 6:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Welcome to our group. We see movies at the Little Theatre on East Ave. in Rochester on the first Saturday of the month. We meet at 6:00 - 6:15 near the cafe behind the ticket booth for cinemas 2-5. I usually send out suggested movies from among the 6:30 to 7ish showings. This allows us to get out of the theater at about the same time for talk. Pair up with people for a movie or join the general group. We agree to meet afterwards at a near by restaurant, for conversation about the movie, life, or toward wherever the conversation leads.

Join us to meet new people, see an interesting movie, and have a nice night out with good conversation, connection and companionship. All are welcome.

the 4 of us ladies saw Boogie Nights and mainly speaking for myself, there were much better choices in movies featuring PSH than this movie. I was disappointed. We 4 ladies all headed for home after the movie-so sorry we missed the rest of you movie lovers!!

I saw BN long time ago and did not particularly care for it. On the other hand, he starred in 'Before the devil knows your dead', and that was a great movie, if exceedingly dark.

My second choice that night was Dallas Buyers Club, and I wish we'd seen that instead :)

I liked Boogie Nights, but I have to admit it was dense and somehow troubling at times. I really enjoyed the PSH tribute series, and the opportunity to watch and talk about his legacy.

I loved the movie Gloria. Real, well acted, really felt for the characters. Went to Golden Port after for some food and conversation

Saw Gloria, the most real film I have seen about relationships. Wonderful acting. Didn't see any other movie people, went to Golden Port with a friend and had a wonderful discussion.

Luisa, June, Kathy and I saw Boogie Nights, part of PSH tribute...were so exhausted by it (length, topic) we didn't go out afterwards. Will go back today for Doubt.

Just saw Brian's post. The denial of service attack is holding up mails. I enjoyed the Oscar shorts at noon. As always an eclectic collection. If you get the chance, I highly recommend going. From Mickey Mouse to childrens stories to futuristic to impressionist to just plain romantic.

I may see everyone at 6ish-can't find Boogie Nights for pre-sale, so it may be sold out. Capote was sold out last night.

Since I have seen three of the five, I am thinking to see the Oscar animated shorts at noon instead.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
