Rochester International Short FIlm Festival (Sat. afternoon)

See some amazing short films from filmmakers around the world.  It is the Rochester International Short Film Festival, going on since 1959, showcasing great filmmaking from around the world.  It takes place at the Dryden Theater, attached to the George Eastman House.  Admission is free, but I usually give $10 to help support the festival.

After we will go to Starry Nights Cafe for drink, dessert and discussion.  Maybe we will bring a filmmaker along with us like last year.

Should "not just reviewing and watch ..."

I had a great time. Not reviewing, and watching the international film but also in between shows at starry nights. Although the sun disappeared, I barely noticed it with all the great conversation

Wonderful selections. Still thinking about Bingo Night!, I want one of those crocheted ski-masks. The weather turned cool, so sitting outside at Starry Nites didn't last too long.

When I said yes, I forgot I would not have the car. Have fun!

I'm going to take advantage of the good weather and take care of a few 'outdoor-type' things...

Lets congregate on the first floor center near the back in the theater. It is free admission, but I like to give $10 to help run the festival. I helped run the festival this year, look for my name on the first page of the program. Feel free to ask me about all we did. Brian

Well, there are about 1h 50 min of programming, so we should get out at a little after 6. Then we will go to Starry Nites Cafe for discussion and fun. We usually stay until about 8pm.

Being that this time is during the day, I might actually be able to find Starry Nites (sense of direction at night gets all turned around) and meet some new people! Hearing other peoples' view points is very interesting and informative.

I am hosting one of the filmmakers at my home this week, so I plan to attend all the shows. See you on Sat!

I went to this last year and it was really very good. I highly recommend going and also arriving early as there was a long line. Unfortunately I will be out of town on Saturday so I will miss it. Enjoy!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
