Breakfast at Tiffany's

Meet at 6pm in Theaters 2-5, movie begins at 6:30 pm, tickets are $7 and Jack Garner will lead a discussion at the end of the film.

I plan to stay for the Garner discussion. Depending on how long it goes, and how interesting it is, will drive a decision on whether/where to get something to drink/eat afterwards.

My initial thoughts are to just stay at the Little unless there is really loud music playing.

Breakfast at Tiffany's is a 1961 American romantic comedy film starring Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard, and featuring Patricia Neal, Buddy Ebsen, Martin Balsam, and Mickey Rooney. The film was directed by Blake Edwards and released by Paramount Pictures. It is loosely based on the novella of the same name by Truman Capote.

Hepburn's portrayal of Holly Golightly as the naïve, eccentric café society girl is generally considered to be the actress' most memorable and identifiable role. Hepburn regarded it as one of her most challenging roles, since she was an introvert required to play an extravert.

Breakfast at Tiffany's was received positively at the time, and was nominated for five Academy Awards, Best Actress for Hepburn, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Art Direction, winning two for Best Original Score and Best Original Song for the famous "Moon River". "Moon River" was also selected as the fourth most memorable song in Hollywood history by the American Film Institute in 2004.

In 2012, the film was deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant" by the United States Library of Congress and selected for preservation in the National Film Registry.

Lol @ Dann. I am very sad to say that I have never been to NYC. I would love to go oned day. I am too old to not have been there yet. I don't think they even put prizes in Cracker Jacks anymore. Nothing is the same.

What a wonderful film. I really enjoyed it. To bad real life does not always work the same way. Yesterday I was in NYC and found myself on 5th Ave, so I went into Tiffany's. I did not have a Cracker Jacks ring to get engraved though.

My first time seeing film-loved it! The Smith-Corona typewriter brought back a few memories. I did not realize that the first scene was the title until after the movie. Very nice.

Always great to see the classics on the big screen. Hepburn and Peppard are so great in their roles. I forgot that I was watching actors; I lived for the moment in their roles.
Garner's discussion could have been more informative, but it is probable that many in the audience did not know the tidbits of which he talked.

Wish I could go. Already committed to another event. I AM driving again, and about to move in closer to the city, and on a bus line! Have a great time, everyone.

Just purchased my tickets in advance. Little Theater personnel advise that the lobby will be quite busy tomorrow night, and that sales for B@T's are doing well.
I suggest that you purchase your ticket(s) in advance.

Note that their website was having issues at lunchtime. I left a voice msg with a phone number to call. I purchased over the phone, not thru the website.
