Halloween Classics: Silence of the Lambs

The Strand Theater is showing Halloween Classics for the month of October ... this time on Mondays and Fridays.  The only Friday movie I have on our meetup schedule is Night of the Living Dead on October 18.  If someone else wants to serve as event host for the other Fridays, please let me (David) know.

Silence of the Lambs made Anthony Hopkins a star!  Hopkins plays psychiatrist serial killer Dr. Hannibal Lecter, who advises FBI trainee Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster) as she tracks down another serial killer.  Silence of the Lambs won Oscars for Best Picture, Best Director (Jonathon Demme), Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Actor, and Best Actress.

The movie starts at 7:00.  We'll meet outside the theater at 6:30.  If you need to reach me, my cell phone number is[masked]-0455.

Here's the October Schedule for the Strand:

• Friday, October 4 - The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)

• Monday, October 7 - Young Frankenstein (1974)

• Friday, October 11 - The Amityville Horror (1979)

Hi Dave - I would double check with The Strand. I think they may be showing the Red Socks game tonight instead of the movie.

Once again, looking forward to a classic, yet gory flick. Love A. Hopkins+I did not know Silence of the Lambs received 4 Oscars. Wow!

I just looked up IMDb, Leona. It won 5 Oscars. The other was Best Adapted Screenplay. I added that to the list in the description.
