THE QUIET MAN, Dover, NJ directly on Route 46. (Bread MADE FROM SCRATCH! , wonderful American & continental & Irish items, great beer selections!) GARLIC ROSE BISTRO, Madison, NJ PAMIR, Morristown, NJ NIKKO, Whippany, NJ
I prefer savory dishes; also spicy Italian, and "purist" sushi/sashimi. I will NOT climb Mt. Oyster, no matter what anyone says. Lobster eyes, no. (The Down East natives eat them.) Also OUT: foie gras.
Extreme Dramatic (The Lion In Winter, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf); DEVIOUS Political Thrillers(3rd Man, 3DaysCondor); Extreme Comedies(BlazngSaddls) Gore fests or the merely lurid are OUT. Decapitation? There better be a valid plot point.....
From a list of about 20, it changes each month. Right now, - The Parallax View. Well cast, strong acting, unpredictable bizarre plot, no HOLLYWOOD ending. The underused Anthony Zerbe had a cool cameo. Good cinematography/directing.
"Whadya know, whadya say?!" (James Cagney's tagline greeting from a film which name I do NOT recall.....) Movie Buff and addict since I could throw stones at lizards. Food comes in 2nd. "So long, Holly."
