Capital Stage Theater-The Mountaintop

How about an off-screen experience? How about live theater?

Always top quality, always provocative Capital Stage presents The Mountaintop.

"It’s April 4, 1968 at the Lorraine Motel, the eve of assassination of a legend. The Reverend Martin Luther King Jr.'s last night on earth is boldly reimagined in that fateful Room 306. Exhausted from delivering a significant speech, Dr. King rests in his room when an unexpected visit from a feisty, young maid compels him to confront his own humanity and the fate of our nation. Winner of the Olivier Award for Best New Play, The Mountaintop’s soul-stirring storytelling fuses theatricality with spirituality to reach a summit that will leave audiences breathless."

Capital Stage has offered Baby Boomer Singles (and as the negotiator/coordinator I am extending it to the Sacramento At the Movies group) a group rate which normally requires 12 people. They will give any attendees for the April 18th show from our group (even if less than 12) $4 off of the normal ticket price with tickets for our group costing $26 for regular and $24 for seniors. To take advantage of this special offer please purchase your tickets for Thursday, April 18th online at: or at[masked] and use the special code "boomers-mountaintop".

For more information please go to the Capital Stage website (above) or you can e-mail me at Dave H. I hope to see you there!

Just a reminder. I believe you need to purchase your ticket in advance and use the special code: "boomers-mountaintop" to get the discounted price. It is reserve seating so we likely won't be sitting together. My seat number is Row B, Seat 210. I will be in the lobby at 7:45 and hold up a sign that says "Baby Boomer Singles" so we can all meet each other before the show and if people are interested get together after to talk about the play.

I will be seeing this play on the 14th with another group. You guys are getting a better discount than I am even though we are seniors! It sounds like a great play.

Maybe we are paying more since it's on a popular Sunday matinee show.
