May all of us watch this video and realize whether a home comes close to foreclosure, or doesn't, whether we leave due to college or military duty, there are feelings here whether we want to accept them or not on both sides.
All people should be responsible for decisions in their life, and those they share their life with.

Its amazing the different stories we make up in our heads about life.  We all received little information about the whys and where fors in this story.  For me, I came so close to loosing my house in foreclosure and the fear of what to do with all my animals in a rental market that I felt compassion. I automatically assumed that much thought and prayer had gone into looking for a loving solution for her pet. She wasn't just abandoning it in the streets or Forest or bringing it to the pound.  I will respond to this request by asking people I know if they have room in their hearts for a dog as I already have a full load of dog love.

Free speech......is what makes up this world.....it is why we are all different.....we have opinions and to some this act is an injustice to "a sweet little dog"....to others animals are expendable at a moments notice.....Free speech.....whether it is someone else's dog or not.....the point was still the same for those agreeing it is cruelty to animals when we get a pet then discard it when tough times arise...in this case a move.
Heather has her opinion, so do I.....as others do as well.....When you open yourself up in public forum, naturally you are also opening yourself to opinions....it is to be expected.

Disagree. Some homeless people have dogs. Unless you're dead, there is always a choice.

I'm gonna be really blunt here, because I'm appalled. We don't know the circumstances of the move, or how traumatic but necessary it might be for the pet owner. Let's assume she's agonized over the decision, has no choice, etc. Who the fuck are you people to tell her not to abandon her "baby" and to find someplace else to live? Shame on you. Cut her some slack. She's trying to find a good home for a dog. Stop treating her as if she's having a goddamn abortion.

Thanks. Have a good night.

Gosh, I need to agree with those saying animal ownership is forever......there are many apts, homes that allow pets....just because a person is moving, or whatever the circumstances due to the move...the pet should not be put through the trauma of finding a new home...what a shame....stories like this turn my stomach.....he is advertised as a sweet little dog....how truly sad this is.
Hey, aren't we a movie group...not Craigslist or the pound?
Sad

I don't understand how someone could abandon a member of their family just because they're moving.

Hi there, a friend of mine is moving and needs to find a home for his sweet 5 year old dog. Squirrel is a friendly, sweet and compliant dog -- a strange mix of Chiquia and German Shepard (we think). If you know anybody that could use a good companion please let me know. Thanks, Rosemary
