Side Effects - Soderbergh - Official Time & Venue

Steven Sodebergh directs this, and it looks good. It stars Rooney Mara (US version of Dragon Tattoo) Jude Law, Channing Tatum (who be dat?) and Catherine Zeta Jones. This is a DEFINITE meetup - Vue Light on Friday and it is scheduleled to start at 8:40 -the UK release date.

As usual with Vue Light, ask for a ticket somewhere near B14, which is towards the back left as you look up. We meet at the top of the escalator.

The plot sees Emily Taylor (Mara) welcoming the return of her husband Martin (Tatum) from prison. As the couple readjust, she struggles with depression and is asigned to psychiatrist Jonathon Banks (Law), leading to her behaviour taking a turn for the worse. Empire describes it as mutating to a gripping Hitchcockian potboiler. Well I didn't like a lot of Hitchcock, but I do think Jude Law is an excellent actor and I think this is worth the risk.

Mr Foley's afterwards.

Hi all a nice number (six) and a decent film and then a very enjoyable chat afterwards in Mr Foley's I'll do a review later in the week but I thought the movie was about a 6/10. Rooney Mara was good in it, some excellent acting by her. The plot was a bit contrived and very implausible but I enjoyed one or two nice twists.

Are people definitely going to this? Online there are zero seats occupied, unless I'm looking at the wrong showing?

Can't miss this - remember Channing Tatum in magic Mike last year?? Lots of 'mmmmmmm's in Magic Mike. Hopefully he gives a bit of the same action in this? (Only dreaming Frankie! - I wish)

p.S. I also think Jude Law is great too. But not in the same way
