Wednesday Night Paddle with Whitewater Warehouse

Lets join Whitewater Warehouse on a Wednesday Night Paddle.  I plan to attend the 6:15 shuttle.

Time: Shuttles leave at approximately 5:30 & 6:15
Cost: $25.00 Equipment and Shuttle; $5.00 Shuttle Only
Prerequisite:  Some Experience Recommended.  See Note Below.

Join in on what has become a tradition for Dayton’s paddlesports community, the Wednesday Nite Paddle down our local waterway, the Mad River.  Enjoy the transition from an urban wilderness to the downtown Dayton skyline.  We paddle approximately three miles of what is considered “moving water” from Eastwood MetroPark to the Keowee Street Bridge.  New this year is the Mad River Play Feature, which is a class II rapid that you can either run or bypass by taking advantage of a recreational chute on river right. This river trip is three  miles and generally takes 1 ¼ to 1 ½ hours.

Shuttles leave from Whitewater Warehouse at approximately 5:30 and 6:15.  Equipment and shuttle slots are available on a first come first serve basis.  Dress to get wet, and be ready to have some Fun!

v  No Reservations Required

v  Fees apply

v  Minors must be accompanied by an adult

v  Recommended age 14+

v  Dates subject to change

v  Check website or call[masked] for event status

Wednesday Nite Paddles are brought to you by Whitewater Warehouse.  For additional information call (937)[masked] or contact us by e-mail at: [masked].

Note: This is not a guided river trip.  New boaters may consider attending recreational kayaking classes prior to participating.  Our Kayak Basics class will get you started; Basic River Running will teach you to deal with moving currents and controlling your boat; and the Safety Skills class will teach you to deal with basic safety, including self-rescue situations.  Larger groups should call ahead and may consider scheduling a trip on a different day, depending on group size. Call or email for details.  Recommended age 14+.
