I'm going to back out for now and open up a spot. I really want to go, but I have some items that I need to catch up on this weekend. If I get things in order, I may come out and play :0)

I did Snyder Parks Whitewater Corridor a few years back in 2012. Had no problems in my Pungo 100. I had more fun after going down with ferrying back & forth across it.. to me going down the drop just felt like being on a log flume ride.. thats just my feeling though.. it was still a lot of fun!! Felt the take out was a bit inconvenient. Have fun!

    • Brent K.

So a spray skirt and helmet should be high on the list of things to bring.

If you are wearing a spray skirt I would recommend a helemt. We will have a brief meeting and introduction before we get into the water.

No not yet. I only know 1 expert personally that would consider if he is available with his work schedule. He an awesome kayaker that runs all class rapids a lot. But as of now its still a maybe. Im trying to get a trip together sat to go to blackhand gorge 5 or 8 mile trip and maybe dillon falls which is a class 2 but its low runnable so its supposed to be an easier class 2.

      July 22, 2014

    • Brent K.

Blackhand gorge looks like a beautiful kayak. Looks like it would be like kayaking twin creek but with a little deeper water. They say when the water is lower it make the trip more breathtaking.

Cindy this would be a good place to learn. Each drop gets harder and you can hangout at whichever one you are most comfortable at. I seen people run all 4 drops in a rec boat and they were having a blast. I will be happy to help you but warning im still learning too, lol.

    • Cindy W

Thank you very much, Brent. I'll think about it. It sounds like fun but also a little challenging :)

      July 22, 2014

Would this be appropriate for someone with mostly flatwater experience? I'd like to learn new techniques but I don't want to get in over my head (corny, I know...)

    July 22, 2014

  • George D.

Who will be there that can give pointers on basic moving water skills, and perhaps a couple more technical things like surfing?
