No damn dams paddle

PLEASE NOTE: I am not your guide.  I am a friend to paddle with that has provided you with group companionship and kayaking opportunity.

We will meet at the marina.  Transfer some of the boats and gear, then carpool to put in.

We will paddle the down the Olentangy to the Scioto and then to the marina.  We will paddle 6 miles through the areas where the 5th street and Main street dams used to be.  There may be an easy class I rapid where the Main street dam was removed.

Bring sunscreen, water, pfd, snack lunch, camera and dry clothes.  A large brimmed hat is a good idea as the only shade will be under the bridges.

Notice:  You MUST WEAR your pfd on this trip.  NO EXCEPTIONS!

The city has channeled the Scioto river through downtown. This makes for a more interesting and fun paddle.

Glad you could make it. It was good to see you again. We certainly were lucky with the weather.
