Informational Post - Not a Group Event
Tuesday is SUP-day! Learn to Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) on the Blue Lake next to Eastwood MetroPark Lake.
In the SUP Basics Part One you will learn everything you need to know to get started. Getting on and off the board, standing up, and the basic strokes for getting around.
In the SUP Basics Part Two you will continue to develop your skills and learn to get more comfortable on your board. Depending on your comfort zone, you may learn to move around on your board; or for the more adventurous you may work on more advanced moves like Stern Pivots. Some fun games and races are likely to be involved during this session.
Class fees are $40 per person, includes board rental, PFD, and paddle. Preregister for the two class package for $70, a $10 savings. If you provide your own equipment, the class is $30, or $50 for the two class package.
For those who wish to continue attending (once you’ve attended both classes) you can come out and practice with the class for $25 per week, including board rental. If you bring your own equipment it costs $15 to participate with the class after your initial instruction.
Many of our boards are wide and stable… great for building confidence on the water! Meet at 5:30; classes run from 6:00-7:30 p.m. For additional information and to preregister call (937)[masked] or email at[masked]. Dress to get wet.
