SPEAKER: Kathryn Birstein, NYCSDUG Founder (!)

SUBJECT: SharePoint 2013 Workflow: Workflow Manager and Beyond

Workflow in SharePoint 2013 is a whole new ballgame. With the new Workflow Manager workflow, workflow is now supported by a totally separate server, which can be scaled to a farm of servers as needed. Now based on Workflow Foundation 4.5, workflows created in both SharePoint Designer 2013 and Visual Studio 2013 are entirely declarative, being saved in XAML format.

Along with a much improved visualization via Visio 2013 and important new actions in SharePoint Designer 2013 (loops, HTTP Web Service, etc.), and the ability to manage tasks with the new Work Management Service, and SharePoint Designer 2013 workflows now approach the capabilities of Nintex.

This session will demo all of these new features, so don't miss out on this opportunity to learn about this exciting new functionality!
