Game Day at Tower Games (Sat - March 2nd)

PFS Scenario #14: The Many Fortunes of Grandmaster Torch

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st to 7th level characters (Tiers: 1–2, 3–4, and 6–7). Two Tables

When four statues of unspeakable power were found in a tomb in Osirion and then stolen, the Pathfinder Society assumed they were gone forever. When they appeared again in the illicit inventory of a Qadiran smuggler in the massive trade city of Sedeq, the Society wasted little time dispatching you there to recover them. Finding the smuggler dead and a familiar face from Absalom responsible, your task quickly becomes a race to retrieve the statues before their brutal power can be unleashed on the citizens of the Satrap. Can you find the statues in time or will Sedeq be swallowed in a plague like none Golarion has ever seen?

Carrion Hill - Starts at 10:15am and runs 8-9 hours FULL

Completing the module grants 3XP and 4PP

A dark urban horror adventure for 5th-level Pathfinder Roleplaying Game characters. Tier 4, 5 and 6.

The strange city of Carrion Hill has long loomed over the surrounding swamps in eastern Ustalav, yet its rulers have shifted many times through the centuries. Often enough that only a few sinister scholars and curious minds know the true nature of the hill’s original inhabitants—vile and depraved cultists of the Old Gods. Yet this morning, a dreadful recrudescence rises from the depths of buried nightmare in the vaults below Carrion Hill. A monster stalks the twisted alleys of the city, spreading panic before it and leaving destruction in its wake. Can the Carrion Hill Horror be stopped?

About this Game Day:

This is an announcement for a locally scheduled regular Game Day scheduled for Tower Games in South Minneapolis, Minnesota scheduled for Saturday afternoons. The game will start promptly at 1:00 PM. With GMs arriving an hour early for prep and questions. Depending on the table and/or Scenario, games can run as late as 6pm.

We cater to new players and experienced Pathfinders alike, both young and old. All of our members are fantastic and display a true love for the game. We offer a friendly environment to meet new players and to experience the fun of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game with other fans. As a family friendly group we encourage families to join the fun as well.  It should be noted that although Pathfinder Society adventures are written with a PG-13 rating in mind, we place no age restriction on play (children under the age of 15 are expected to have parent or guardian supervision during the games).

I look forward to seeing you there!

Check out Tower Games' website for more info on the store.

GMs for this event will be Sven, Scott and Tim

Was it the Asylum basement critter, or the VERY END critter that almost did you in? Either one is awful, but there is a potential that you could fight both at the same time. Things would need to go very bad for this to happen, but it could. Do you still have enough PP to get raised?

From the GM side of things, I didn't feel anybody was in any real danger of dying ever. That's what I get for letting an APL 7 table form up for this module.

Thank you! I had a lot fun.

Thinking about rolling a fighter bow specialist for when I want to play lower tier games as the cleric advances.

Not quite as many laughs as Feast of Ravenmoore, but certainly still a good time all around. Thanks to Sven for staying so late (and for not slaughtering us). Also thanks to Tower for letting us stay so long after close.

I have to drop out because my partner is having a birthday party tomorrow that I forgot about. I r bad girlfriend. See you guys next week.

  • Jack B.

    ok, fine... I'll show up.

Wasn't going to, but you've talked me into it.

    I'll have a Rogue 4.0, Paladin 1.1, and Gunslinger (Musket Master) 1.0

If it sounds like I am likely to play the Gunslinger, I'll probably want to apply GM credit from a house game being played tomorrow to it. Probably would help, therefore, to know ahead of time if it is likely I'll be playing him.

    • Jack B.

ok... actually, the gunslinger IS my 3rd PC ;)

And, great! Then hopefully Mark and I can be at the same table...

So what do we have so far for the module, Monk4, Ninja6 and Robert5(no clue).

My character is an archer with 3 Paladin, 1 Cavalier, 1 Fighter...

We are always short on healing, haven't seen many Clerics in PFS. I don't do much damage, but will shut down any enemies if you give me the space to do it.

I've sent out emails to all the players that are going to be playing Carrion Hill. If you didn't get one and think you should have, double check your spam folder and then contact me.

Players playing Many Fortunes will not receive a confirmation email, we'll just see you for the regular gameday at 12:30.

Sven, can I bring a Barb1 for that table then? (per our email conversation, my Barb5 is not legal).

      February 27, 2013

    • Sven

You sure can. We always love new players. The players and GM at your table will show you the ropes of Society play.

      February 27, 2013

  • Sven

I'm going to ask Tower about the possibility of a third table. Not sure if they'll have the space this particular Saturday.

    February 26, 2013

  • Brian L.

If you have a wizard at this tier, bring him, play him, or he'll never forgive you. Also make sure you have a few thousand gold in your pocket.

    February 22, 2013

    • Sven

Whatever PC you bring make sure they have gold or PP for a Res. No joke.

      February 25, 2013

    • Daniel

Jon, I think you know what i mean by 'good'. hahaha

      February 25, 2013

  • Sven

Also just a heads up, Carrion Hill will not be a quick module. Please be prepared for the long haul.

    February 25, 2013

    • jon d.

Sven is not exaggerating on time. 8-9 hours is a low-ball estimate of time. It was closer to 9+ when I ran it.

      February 25, 2013

    • Sven

Kyle, well if you need to bring a pillow or something I don't think it should be a big deal. They will be having a 40K tourney there that day so space will be at a premium.

      February 25, 2013

  • Chris

Amanda and I will play if: 1. There is room for both. 2. She can get to Legion to play Thursday to hit Lv 4 with her Fighter.

    February 23, 2013

  • Daniel

Carrion hill sounds good. Ouchflinger is level 5 sorcerer., or Caduceus is level 4.

    February 22, 2013

I keep hearing about this Module. Sounds great!
