Game Day at FFG (Sunday - Mar 17th)

This Week: - #3-24: The Golden Serpent(5-9) & #4-10: The Feast of Sigils (7-11) & #3-07: Echoes of the Overwatched (1-5)

It is very important that you specify exactly which scenario you'd like to play, so that we can ensure the right # of GM's and get them the scenarios in enough time to prep for what people want to play. So please answer the questions when you RSVP.

#3-24: The Golden Serpent

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for levels 5–9

The Pathfinder Society sends a team of agents to meet an important contact in an unassuming restaurant in Absalom’s Ivy District, but not everything is as it seems. What the Pathfinders find there will lead them into a lion’s den of danger and intrigue in the City at the Center of the World.

Written by Jim Groves.

#4-10: The Feast of Sigils

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for levels 7–11.

In Kaer Maga, the mysterious and dangerous cliffside City of Strangers in untamed Varisia, the Pathfinder Society will come face to face with a sect of the cult of Lissala who prey upon the city's most vulnerable denizens to increase their own power. To what end do they conduct the ancient Feast of Sigils ritual, and can the Pathfinders stop them before their evil plans come to fruition?

#3-07: Echoes of the Overwatched

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for Levels 1–5.

When a Pathfinder agent working in the famed Blakros Museum in Absalom falls victim to a terrible, ancient evil, if falls to the PCs to hunt down the released terror before it can retrieve a relic of the mad astronomer Ralzeros the Overwatched.

About this Game Day:

This is an announcement for a locally scheduled game day on the first and third Sunday of every month at the Fantasy Flight Games Event Center in Roseville, Minnesota. We try to schedule multiple low-tier tables and at least one high-tier table for each session and manage three regular tables, with a fourth becoming a regular occurrence. Games last five hours (scheduled to end at 5:00) and the GMs arrive an hour early for set-up and questions. While registration for events is not required, it is encouraged as registered attendees will be guaranteed a seat for play (information regarding registration can be found below).

We cater to new players and experienced Pathfinders alike, both young and old. All of our members are fantastic and display a true love for the game. We offer a friendly environment to meet new players and to experience the fun of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game with other fans. As a family friendly group we encourage families to join the fun as well. It should be noted that although Pathfinder Society adventures are written with a PG-13 rating in mind, we place no age restriction on play (children under the age of 15 are expected to have parent or guardian supervision during the games).

I look forward to seeing you there!

This Game Day at Fantasy Flight Games is hosted by Ryan Blomquist (Venture-Captain) and Andrew Christian (Venture-Lieutenant).

+1 armor; 1000gp, +1 weapon; 2000gp, being surprised by the horrible ways the monster is trying to kill you, priceless.

I had a lot of fun running a complex scenario. It was especially fun seeing 20+ year players completely unaware of what the creatures they were fighting were, or were capable of!

would anyone there be willing to help a newbie out? I.E. generate a character? I have only done it one other time.

I'm not sure how early I can get there, but I'll help if I can, and I'm sure others would be able to give you some guidance as well. But if nothing else you can play an official pregenerated PC for now and then make your own "real" PC later on your own time, so no worries. :)

    • Andy C.

I'll be there half an hour early, and also will have pregens

    Ok, here's the deal.

I've tried emailing you guys to find out whether some folks have played Golden Serpent or not.

Tim Swanson can't play anything but Feast of Sigils.
Jacob Kellog can't play anything but Golden Serpent.

Charles Simning has not responded as to whether he can play Golden Serpent or not.

So I am in a quandary. A couple folks who've played Golden Serpent, want to play Feast, can play Echoes (and I may need them to to make that table happen).

So right now what I have is the following:

Echoes of the Overwatched: David Burton, Pete Scherf, James Krolak, J. Michael Neal

Golden Serpent: Dianna Christian, Brian Ledbetter, Jacob Kellog, and maybe Charles Simning, Lori Richards could if her cold goes away tomorrow.

Feast of Sigils: Dianna Christian, Brian Ledbetter, Tim Swanson, Charles Simning (and if Lori shows up, she playes Echoes.)

Either way, I have to leave someone out, which I don't want to do.

So you guys let me know what you want.

      Chuckle... thanks Michael

      March 16, 2013

    • Tim S.

If there aren't enough folks to play Feast I can take the day off and wish the best for everyone. Its not a problem and I sure don't feel slighted or anything.

      March 16, 2013

  • Jacob K.

Hmm.... So to summarize and make sure I followed the dilemma properly:
    • The Echoes table is fine.
    • The other table will either be Golden Serpent (leaving Tim out) or Feast of Sigils (leaving me out)

If this is correct, then the fact that Golden Serpent and Feast of Sigils are different tiers makes me think that looking at folks' character levels could help. I've only got a 6th-level cleric.

Also, I could potentially switch over to Source this week for Sanos Abduction. Dunno what subtier they're looking at for that table (putting a cleric6 in subtier 3-4 wouldn't be a very elegant solution), but that's certainly a possibility.

    March 16, 2013

    • Andy C.

      Nope doing golden serpent

      March 16, 2013

  • Andy C.

We will do feast of sigils in a month or so then

    March 16, 2013

  • Charles S.

Andy sorry work has been a bear. I would prefer playing Golden Serpent with Brian as I have yet to play it

    March 16, 2013

    • Andy C.

      Golden serpent it is then

      March 16, 2013

  • Lori R.

I'm dealing with a cold that is knocking me for a loop. I am going to back out, so that I can rest and so I don't spread whatever this is.

    March 16, 2013

    • Andy C.

      ok, feel better!

      March 16, 2013

  • Andy C.

We need a GM for Echoes of the overewatched

    March 14, 2013

  • Pete S.

Hi, planning to attend Sunday but haven't done a PF Society game before. I have the society rules and I think I can roll up a character beforehand - anything else I should be aware of? Any class(es) that are needed?

    March 12, 2013

    • Andy C.

I would suggest making whatever you are most comfortable with. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask, we have lots of knowledgeable people around here. Otherwise, I will try to be there at least 1/2 hour early, and I can help out as needed then as well.

      March 12, 2013

  • Jacob K.

Glad I re-checked this event; when did it change to offer Golden Serpent? Totally changing my RSVP to here instead of Source - Jim Groves is awesome! :)

    March 12, 2013

  • Charles S.

I can play feast of sigils if that is what you are doing, or if you are doing Golemworks, I can run that. Let me know
