Game Day at Legion Games (Thursday, April 11th)

This Week:

Pathfinder Society Scenario #47 The Darkest Vengeance:

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st to 5th level characters (Tiers: 1–2 and 4–5).

When a newly opened Ustalav Pathfinder Lodge goes silent, it's up to you to investigate and report back to the Society as to the source of the disappearance. The mystery deepens when you arrive and find the house silent but infiltrated by an old threat now in control of one of Ustalav's most powerful artifacts.

Written by Tim Hitchcock and Mark Moreland.

Pathfinder Society Scenario #3-12: Wonders in the Weave—Part I: The Dog Pharaoh's Tomb

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for Levels 5–9.

On an isolated demiplane, the Pathfinders explore an Osirian ruin transported from Golarion by a powerful sorcerer centuries ago. And though the Pathfinder Society believes the fruits of their delve to be ripe for the picking, the unnatural landscape surrounding the tomb and a run-in with an unexpected guest make getting out with the treasure a tough task for the PCs.

"The Dog Pharaoh's Tomb" is the first scenario in the two-part Wonders in the Weave campaign arc. The story concludes in Pathfinder Society Scenario #3–14: Wonders in the Weave—Part II: Snakes in the Fold. Both chapters are intended to be played in order.

About this Game Day:

This is an announcement for a locally scheduled game day on the second and fourth Thursday of every month at Legion Games in Burnsville, Minnesota. Games last five hours (scheduled to end at 11:00) and the GMs arrive early for set-up and questions. While registration for events is not required, it is encouraged as registered attendees will be guaranteed a seat for play (information regarding registration can be found below).

We cater to new players and experienced Pathfinders alike, both young and old. All of our members are fantastic and display a true love for the game. We offer a friendly environment to meet new players and to experience the fun of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game with other fans. As a family friendly group we encourage families to join the fun as well. It should be noted that although Pathfinder Society adventures are written with a PG-13 rating in mind, we place no age restriction on play (children under the age of 15 are expected to have parent or guardian supervision during the games).

I look forward to seeing you there!

The Dog Pharaoh's Tomb was a lot of fun... Didn't get home till midnight, didn't fall asleep until 12:45. The 4 hours of sleep I managed to squeeze in involved dreams of the players at my table slaughtering helpless men. Looking at you Marc & AJ.

A good time was had by all! Thank you Ryan for a great game!

Darkest Vengeance did not claim any souls this time...

    Darkest Vengeance wasn't that bad...

Hey folks, just wanted to give a heads up to the 8-9 table. My car was the victim of a hit & run today, and while the shop promises to have it back to me today, if traffic is bad on 35W, I might be 15-20 minutes late. But never fear, the Hao Jin tapestry still awaits you, and there will be absolutely NO surprises inside. ;)

So, what do we have for Darkest Vengeance?

I am probably bringing my Paladin 1.1 (but could bring my Gunslinger 2 if absolutely necessary).

    April 9, 2013

    • Ryan

Aaah, well if you NEED the Gunslinger on Saturday don't bring that one. It's better you bring a character you don't like for Darkest Vengeance.

    • Jack B.

      heh.
I was warned about that already.
Magnus, Paladin (1.1) of Abadar, is ready to step up and stand in the gap. So, from what I can see, we have:

      Witch 1
      Cleric 2
      Conjurer 1
      Gunslinger 2
      Paladin 1
      + one more

I've risked the weather several times this year to play Pathfinder, but if this keeps up I'm not sure I'm willing to do it again today.

    April 11, 2013

    • Jack B.

      Bah!

I risked coming in to work today (made it in 45 mins instead of my normal 30). And that was only because I was planning on going to the game.

      And I live in Rogers!!!

Was wait-listed, now confirmed, but only thing I'm eligible to play is the likely 8-9, Wonders of the Weave. Will this work, or are the table numbers now unbalanced?

    April 8, 2013

    • Kyle

I'm willing to play tier 1-2, but it looks like Daniel dropped out anyway

      April 9, 2013

    • Andrew T.

okay thanks Kyle - we are back to 6 players on Wonders: me, marc, bryan, Brian, Robert and Sven

      April 9, 2013

  • Kyle

    9 for the weave 8-9. Otherwise I'll have #47

    April 8, 2013

  • Jack B.

guess I can't play in either of these... did these scenarios change?

I have already done the Penumbral Accords, and do not have a 5th level character. :(

    April 2, 2013

    • Jack B.

I have not. Ustalov? Sounds interesting. I'd be up for it.

      April 5, 2013

    • Jack B.

I may end up playing my Paladin 1.1 depending on table mix... since I'll get a chance to play my Gunslinger Friday (as it turns out).

      April 8, 2013

  • Andrew T.

FYI - wonders in the weave table is now full 1-2 table has three slots left

  • Jack B.

So, is Legion every other week, rotating with FFG?

    March 26, 2013

    • Bryan G.

Jack, I see you followed suit with my musket master. How are you liking it?

      March 26, 2013

    • Jack B.

Yeah. Honestly, yours intrigued me... so I decided to check it out. I've only played him twice, but so far has been very interesting. Still learning the intricacies of the class, but there is definitely a balance in the class... attack once a round (at a cost of 6gp, and a 30% chance of a misfire), or every other round... In some ways, the versatility of being able to have a variety of ammunition has been as important to the character as anything else. Still not 100% sure which way I want to go with this character... I know that he'll be picking up Deadly Aim at 3rd level... but I am thinking that he'll be going the route of Vital Strike instead of Rapid Shot. Something about practically guaranteeing that he'll be able to misfire in a round doesn't seem right. However, with the 7th level ability, if it stacks with Rapid Shot (not sure that it does), I may still get Rapid Shot. We'll see.
