Game Day at The Source (Sunday - Aug 18th, 2013)

Pathfinder Society Scenario #5–01: The Glass River Rescue This WILL run!!! :D

A Pathfinder Society Scenario for characters of 1st to 5th level (Tier 1–5).

A Pathfinder leading a diplomatic envoy from the dwarven holds of the Five Kings Mountains has gone missing, and the balance of power in a time of war hangs on her rescue. The Pathfinder Society's divinations indicate the agent was waylaid in the theocratic nation of Razmiran, when one of her escorted diplomats failed to pay a requested tithe. Now it falls to the party to enter Razmiran, locate the missing Pathfinder and the dwarven diplomats, and escape with their lives.

Pathfinder Society Scenario #4–17: Tower of the Ironwood Watch

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for levels 5–9.

On the edge of Varisia's Mierani Forest stand the ruins of an ancient guardtower that once served as the native elves' first line of defense against the threat of invasion from the bordering Thassilonian realm of Envy. Just as the elves fled Golarion to avoid the destruction of Earthfall, so too did they leave behind the Tower of the Ironwood Watch, which the Pathfinder Society now hopes to explore—a task that could prove more dangerous than anyone anticipates.

Any volunteer GM's for this week?? Remember the more GM's we get the more tables we can assign. New GM's are ALWAYS welcome too. You could see behind the scenes then and go so far as to have some cool players to have some fun as well. :)

Thanks!!

About this Game Day:

This is an announcement for a locally scheduled game day Sunday at The Source in Roseville, Minnesota. We try to schedule one to two low-tier tables and one higher-tier table is starting up for the regulars. Games last five hours (scheduled to end at 6:00) and the GMs arrive an hour early for set-up and questions. We cater to new players and experienced Pathfinders alike, both young to old. All of our members are fantastic and display a true love for the game.

We offer a friendly environment to meet new players and to experience the fun of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game along with other fans. As a family friendly group we encourage families to join the fun as well. It should be noted that although Pathfinder Society adventures are written with a PG-13 rating in mind, we place no age restriction on play (children under the age of 13 please have parent or guardian supervision during the games). We look forward to seeing you

slightly annoying that one of the secondary success conditions was in an optional encounter. As our table possibly could have got 2 prestige had we run that encounter. (we did finish over an hour early).
As far as the game went,Lars did a fantastic job as GM, and it was a fun table.

Yeah, I don't know that I like that some of the secondary goals are things the PCs wouldn't even know to look for or do, either. I will say, that I didn't miss the faction missions, though. 1/2 of the time for the scenario was often spent with various folks trying to run around doing their missions and it detracted from the real goal.

Guess I should have hedged my bets like Jacob did. With the FFG game disintegrated, I have nothing to do today, and both of these scenarios were ones I wanted to play.

Brian I am glad you made it. Hope you had some fun too?? :D

      Good times, fun scenario

A friendly reminder that if you are debating about which character to play, those in the Grand Lodge, Qadiran, and Osirion factions will be particularly interested in #5-01.

Is there any incentive to do so, or just flavor now that faction missions are gone?

Dunno about this specific scenario, but I thought I heard that there might occasionally be faction-related boons for some scenarios (though I don't recall whether that was "boons for PCs of certain factions" or "boons for everyone but with flavor ties to certain factions").

Tentative RSVP in case the game at FFG falls through. (Earl, for those who know him, was in a car accident. Thankfully, he's alright.)

If the game at FFG is on, then I'll cancel this RSVP tonight to open a spot.

Would like to play the river rescue, but my RSVP comment isn't saving.
