Game Day at Tower Games (Sat - August 3rd)

PFS Scenario #2-11: The Penumbral Accords

Tier 1-2 Full

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st to 5th level characters (Tiers: 1–2, 4–5).

The daughters of Absalom's mysterious Blakros family have long been among the most pursued maidens in the Inner Sea. Now the family's matriarch approaches the Pathfinder Society to help her break a centuries-old pact with the denizens of the Plane of Shadow to save her twin daughters from a life of servitude at the hands of the Onyx Alliance. Heading into the fan-favorite adventuring location of Blakros Museum, the PCs have only a short amount of time to break the Penumbral Accords and solidify the Pathfinder Society's ties to the powerful Blakroses.

About this Game Day:

This is an announcement for a locally scheduled regular Game Day scheduled for Tower Games in South Minneapolis, Minnesota scheduled for Saturday afternoons. The game will start promptly at 1:00 PM. With GMs arriving an hour early for prep and questions. Depending on the table and/or Scenario, games can run as late as 6pm.

We cater to new players and experienced Pathfinders alike, both young and old. All of our members are fantastic and display a true love for the game. We offer a friendly environment to meet new players and to experience the fun of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game with other fans. As a family friendly group we encourage families to join the fun as well.  It should be noted that although Pathfinder Society adventures are written with a PG-13 rating in mind, we place no age restriction on play (children under the age of 15 are expected to have parent or guardian supervision during the games).

I look forward to seeing you there.

Check out Tower Games' website for more info on the store.

This Gameday is hosted by Sven and Tower Games.

GMs for this event will be Sven, Erica, Robert, Tim and Jack

Thanks a ton to Sven and our Thornkeep table. It's fun having a group that meshes as well together as we do!

Fair warning for Sniper in the Deep, yes it is a difficult scenario. The 8-9 tier does have some very cool things that are lost at 5-6. As the GM I would prefer 8-9, and think you will too, but only if you survive. If we don't get a solid 8+ APL, I am going to recommend playing lower.

For those of you who talk of sharks with lasers, I have two words for you. Epicus Maximus. That's what I will make my animal companion into. (Do a google image search for it, seriously)

      August 2, 2013

    • Andy C.

That's got nothing on the Roc/Roper crossbreed.

      August 3, 2013

  • Ben B.

I'm sorry for going back and forth, but something has come up and I won't be able to play a pregen for thornkeep. I won't be able to make it to the game day. Good luck, I feel you will need it!

    August 2, 2013

    • Kyle

Well thanks for letting us know later rather than sooner.

Am I correct in seeing that our table is:
    Chris- Cleric
    Amanda- Sorceror
    Kailey- Cleric
    Andy- Wizard
    Diana- Druid
Well, at least we have healing covered...

    August 2, 2013

    • Jack B.

      Or was that elven paladin?

      August 2, 2013

    • Andy C.

Yes its the superior elven wizard who prefers not to waste spells on inferior beings

      August 2, 2013

  • Jolene

I'd like to join in, but both my characters are low level. Is there an 8-9 pre-gen I can play?

    1 · July 31, 2013

    • Brian L.

Oh, don't worry about me. My familiar and I are going to be quite comfy under the briney blue. I just worry about the other players being able to handle the situation, and would like to make helpful suggestions if anyone needs it.

      August 1, 2013

    • Sven

Maybe this table would be better off at the 5-6 tier. Currently at APL 7.6 Could make a table of all 7s instead.

      August 2, 2013

  • Robert Edwin N.

If you're signed up for any of the Thornkeep tables and can't make it, please let us know. After barely surviving The Forgotten Labs with a table of four, I wouldn't wish less than five players on anyone.

  • Dave S.

    Sven,

Can I change to a new level 1 Bard for Saturday from my level 3 Cleric?

    August 1, 2013

  • Kailey

What level should the characters be for Thornkeep level 2?

    July 4, 2013

    • Erik W.

its ok guys, just did not work out this weekend , it happens.

      July 30, 2013

    • Jack B.

      sorry.

      July 30, 2013

  • Erik W.

was really only interested in thornkeep, if i could make that work

    July 30, 2013

  • Ben B.

Put me down for Thornkeep again. I'll be using a level 4 pregen.

    July 29, 2013

    • Jack B.

      Good for you!
Gives you a way to get started... you'll just need to level the character you create with this chronicle once (or twice) before the next Thornkeep session (on Aug 31, I believe) - plenty of time for that!

I'd base your choice of pregens on the table mix you have, but make sure you can have fun with the one you choose!

      July 30, 2013

  • Sven

We need one more player to play Forgotten Laboratory. Either a level 2,3 or 4

    July 29, 2013

    • Erik W.

is it safe to play a level 2? i have heard iffy things on survivablity of thornkeep at if not at near max level for what is allowed.

      July 29, 2013

    • Jack B.

It can be done with a level 2... level 3 would probably be preferred.

      July 30, 2013

  • Brian L.

"the Pathfinder Society sends you beneath the Inner Sea to investigate. Mayhem, undersea adventure, and chaos are to be had in this rousing rampage beneath the roiling waters of Absalom's harbor."

Be prepared for underwater combat kids, bring your flippers, snorkels, and anything else you will need unda da sea. I have a feeling we will be underwater. A potion of Water Breathing is 750 GP, a scroll is half that. And potions of Touch of the Sea and air bubble are both 50 gp.

    July 29, 2013

  • Ben B.

My thornkeep society character died in the last session so I will not be able to play this Saturday. I am going to go ahead and make other plans for the day. Have fun and swig that CLW potion if you are telling yourself 'nah, I can last another round...' :)

    July 29, 2013

    • Andy C.

Yes you can assign it to a brand new character for 1389gp

      July 29, 2013

    • Tom

There is always Hayato, he is almost a paladin!

      July 29, 2013

  • Erik W.

i have a character i would love to run through thornkeep currently level 2. are their any table running tier 1?

what are the levels on Level 2 of thornkeep

Just found out we have five people actually showing up for our home game, so my guest and I are out for the 3rd. That should open a couple lowbie slots for Penumbral Accord.

    July 28, 2013

I resolved my work conflict. If that spot on ThornKeep is still open, I'll take it. If not, i'll remove my rsvp.
