Game Day at Your Mom's Basement (Sat., July 27, 2013)

Our GM signup can be found here!

#2-15 Shades of Ice, Part III - Keep of the Huscarl King (Tier 1-5):

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st to 5th level characters (Tiers: 1-2 and 4-5).

Information in the Shadow Lodge headquarters in Whitethrone leads you into the Realm of the Mammoth Lords in search of an abandoned tower of a lost Ulfen king. The powerful weapon rumored to be there could be disastrous if it falls into the hands of those who plot the Pathfinder Society’s destruction; who will find it first?

Keep of the Huscarl King is part three of the three-part Shades of Ice campaign arc. It follows Pathfinder Society Scenario #2-15: Shades of Ice—Part I: Written in Blood and Pathfinder Society Scenario #2-17: Shades of Ice—Part II: Exiles of Winter. All three scenarios are intended to be played in order.

Written by Jesse Benner.

Thornkeep - The Dark Menagerie (Tier 6):

In life, the wizard who ruled this realm kept many trophies, mementos, and even captured pets from his journeys, both to entertain his dark sensibilities and to cow his business associates and coerced allies. Now, kept alive all these years via stasis-inducing magic that's recently failed, the unfettered beasts of his magical menagerie run amok.

About this Game Day:

This is an announcement for a locally scheduled game day on Saturdays at the Your Mom's Basement in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. Games last five hours (scheduled to end at 11:30), but the venue is open until 1 am for gaming, food, and congregation. GMs arrive an hour early for set-up and questions. While registration for events is not required, it is encouraged as registered attendees will be guaranteed a seat for play (information regarding registration can be found below).

We cater to new players and experienced Pathfinders alike, both young and old. All of our members are fantastic and display a true love for the game. We offer a friendly environment to meet new players and to experience the fun of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game with other fans. As a family friendly group we encourage families to join the fun as well. It should be noted that although Pathfinder Society adventures are written with a PG-13 rating in mind, we place no age restriction on play (children under the age of 15 are expected to have parent or guardian supervision during the games).

I look forward to seeing you there!

This Game Day at Your Mom's Basement is hosted by Ryan Blomquist (Venture-Captain).

Yeah! Now I'm level 6! :) 2 more levels and tiger becomes large! He gets pounce, +8 strength, and I'm waiting to give him his next feat to get Improved Natural Attack (his claws become 1d8s!). Let's hope he lives that long. :)

Too bad the rogue did all the killing for it ;)

    • Kjersten G.

Eh, the tiger loosened him up a little first....yeah...

      July 28, 2013

  • Kjersten G.

YAY! No one died. Somehow. Not even the level 1s!

I see that another table has been opened up, and that Amanda and I are now in the event; however, we have already played everything other than Thornkeep. Is there space at the Thornkeep table, or is this useful for others?
With Robert running the 1st lv module for us in the afternoon, another module would make a very long day. If we won't be wrapped up in the tier 6 module and there is space, I could host another game of We be Goblins or another repeatable Tier 1 for extra players.

    • Kjersten G.

Gah! I really would like to play We Be Goblins someday, but I'm already 2 out of 3 parts into Shades of Ice. Ah, decisions!

      July 25, 2013

    • Kjersten G.

I can also run We Be Goblins Too if anyone is looking to play.

    Hey all,

Sarah Wilson has volunteered to run Shades of Ice III this weekend. We do still have three waitlisted, so I'd like to get a third GM if possible. If you're interested and available, shoot me an email at [masked], post to the Meetup, or post in the GM thread. I'll get back to you as soon as I can and get the Meetup updated.

I am not currently planning on playing. Depending on how things go tomorrow, things may change (but I will already by at YMB for Thornkeep).

      July 26, 2013

  • Kjersten G.

So how are the tables/GMs looking? Do we have enough for the waiting list?

    July 23, 2013

  • Jolene

I'm announcing a horse show earlier but I'm looking for a replacement at 5:30 so I could make it for this.

    • Jolene

I guess my mom is all good with us just ditching it at 5:30, HA! So I'd like to be in for sure, if spots open up for Shades of Ice Part III

      July 23, 2013

  • Chris

Ohh! Thornkeep for lv 6 if there is space! Is this still full with the change in scenarios?

    July 16, 2013

  • Jim M.

GMing From Shore to Sea. This is a module and will take place over two Saturdays.

    July 6, 2013

    • Jim M.

      Update: rescheduled.

      July 14, 2013

  • Chris

Let us know if you get another table launched for Shire to Sea!

    July 14, 2013

    • Ryan C. B.

Unfortunately, we had to reschedule From Shore to Sea to accommodate Rivalry's End and Way of the Kirin, as those scenarios need to run before August 14th, 2013. It will be running August 24th and 31st.
