Game Day at Dreamer's (Wed., Sep. 11, 2013)

Please welcome our newest Meetup! Daniel McNitt is back, and with him comes the return of Dreamer's. This time on a Wednesday night, the lead-off is a two-session event of Crypt of the Everflame! Note that because it is being offered over two weeks, you'll need to be able to attend both. If there is enough demand, we may be able to add a table of a shorter scenario as well.

Crypt of the Everflame (Tier 1-2):

GM: Daniel McNitt

An adventure for 1st-level characters.

The young heroes of the town of Kassen are ready for their coming-of-age ceremony, an old tradition in which they retrieve a piece of the eternal flame burning in the tomb of the town’s founder. Yet when they arrive there, they find only the corpses of their fellow townsfolk, dead bandits, and mysterious animated skeletons. The novice heroes must brave the traps and perils of the Crypt of the Everflame, discover the source of the corruption that has awakened an ancient evil, and defeat a menace that seeks vengeance against Kassen and its people.

Crypt of the Everflame is a dungeon adventure for 1st-level characters, written for the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game and compatible with the 3.5 edition of the world’s oldest RPG. The adventure map uses the same layout as the 2009 edition of Paizo’s GameMastery Flip-Mat: Dungeon. This adventure is set in the forested land of Nirmathas in the Pathfinder Chronicles campaign setting, but can easily be set in any game world. It can be used on its own or combined with its sequels, Masks of the Living God and City of Golden Death to create an even greater campaign arc.

Designed specifically for the new Pathfinder Roleplaying Game rules and designed by the new game’s primary designer, Crypt of the Everflame spotlights exciting new rules updates and character abilities, making the ideal introductory adventure for Pathfinder RPG players. A new era in fantasy roleplaying begins here!

About this Game Day:

This is an announcement for a locally scheduled game day on Saturdays at the Your Mom's Basement in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. Games last five hours (scheduled to end at 11:30), but the venue is open until 1 am for gaming, food, and congregation. GMs arrive an hour early for set-up and questions. While registration for events is not required, it is encouraged as registered attendees will be guaranteed a seat for play (information regarding registration can be found below).

We cater to new players and experienced Pathfinders alike, both young and old. All of our members are fantastic and display a true love for the game. We offer a friendly environment to meet new players and to experience the fun of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game with other fans. As a family friendly group we encourage families to join the fun as well. It should be noted that although Pathfinder Society adventures are written with a PG-13 rating in mind, we place no age restriction on play (children under the age of 15 are expected to have parent or guardian supervision during the games).

I look forward to seeing you there!

Did anyone say they needed some tigers at the table? rawr!

    September 8, 2013

    • Kjersten G.

So I see a couple folks on the waitlist; Tom and Christopher, are you interested in a second table of Crypt or a different scenario? I can GM a second table.

    September 6, 2013

    • Ryan C. B.

      Two tables.

      September 11, 2013

    • Jesse

Ryan thanks for opening up an additional table, but unfortunately I will not be able to make it, I was forced into overtime at work. :(

      September 11, 2013

  • Brandan

I want to bring myself and one other. If that isn't possible please let me know so I can tell them. I see there is a wait list but also discussion of starting a second table so I was just curious.

    September 10, 2013

    • Brandan

The other person backed out so it would just be me. I guess if no one says anything about actually running a second table ( or I don't get off the waitlist ) by the time the registrations close I'll just show up and watch rather than print out a character sheet to play.

      September 10, 2013

    • Brandan

I cannot make it today. :(

      September 11, 2013

  • Sarah W.

Any idea which scenario the second table will be? I need to know whether to make the trip down here or not.

    September 11, 2013

  • J. Michael N.

El Torbellino Piedra will wrestle the bad guys into submission.

    September 8, 2013

  • Jolene

not sure I can get there by 5:30. I work in Burnsville and the earliest I can usually leave is 5:15ish

  • jon d.

Part 2 is on the 18th?

    1 · September 5, 2013

    • Ryan C. B.

That's the plan - also, while I'm listed as not attending, that's so real players can have seats. I'll still be there.

      September 5, 2013

    • Sarah W.

I will not be here on the 18th, so I am going to give up my spot to someone who can. I will sign up for the waitlist if there is a second table being run of non-two week scenario :)

      September 6, 2013

  • Jack B.

Would love to show up, but have other plans
