Game Day at The Source (Sunday - Apr 6th, 2014)

Pathfinder Society Scenario #2-13: Murder on the Throaty Mermaid

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st to 5th level characters (Tiers: 1-2 and 4-5).

While on a routine mission to escort a dignitary to the mysterious Mordant Spire aboard a disreputable smuggler's ship, the PCs find themselves embroiled in a murder mystery that could jeopardize the Pathfinder Society's relationship with the isolationist elves who call the citadel home. Can the cunning Pathfinders discover who among the ship's crew of scum and villains is responsible for the crime in time to clear their own names? This murder mystery upon the open sea features a mechanic allowing for a different killer each time it's run to ensure that no amount of word of mouth will spoil the investigation for any team of canny players.

Pathfinder Society Scenario #4–12: The Refuge of Time

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for levels 7–11.

In the ruins of a fallen empire built on the power of sin lies the key to awakening a great evil from a time long gone. The Pathfinder Society isn't the only organization seeking this potent artifact, however, and the result of failure could mean disaster for the whole of Varisia and beyond.

Any volunteer GM's for this week?? Remember the more GM's we get the more tables we can assign. New GM's are ALWAYS welcome too. You could see behind the scenes then and go so far as to have some cool players to have some fun as well. :)

Thanks!!

About this Game Day:

This is an announcement for a locally scheduled game day Sunday at The Source in Roseville, Minnesota. We try to schedule one to two low-tier tables and one higher-tier table is starting up for the regulars. Games last five hours (scheduled to end at 6:00) and the GMs arrive an hour early for set-up and questions. We cater to new players and experienced Pathfinders alike, both young to old. All of our members are fantastic and display a true love for the game.

We offer a friendly environment to meet new players and to experience the fun of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game along with other fans. As a family friendly group we encourage families to join the fun as well. It should be noted that although Pathfinder Society adventures are written with a PG-13 rating in mind, we place no age restriction on play (children under the age of 13 please have parent or guardian supervision during the games). We look forward to seeing you

It was great. The adventure was on the 13 side of pg-13 but with the family atmosphere we kept it light and my son of 12 and I had a great time.

Glad you had fun! It's always great to see new faces! And new minds to help tackle the challenges of being a Pathfinder!

Andrew, we are always more than happy to see you guys too. I only hope that you had as much fun as I did in organizing this. It is a special thing to see the enjoyment of the ages on the face of a kid that is having fun with a game I started back in 1974 and was a little younger then he was when I got going hehe :)

Anyone else want to GM this week???

We can always use more GM's. Remember that without us as GM's we can't have tables for each of us as players to play at. As GM's we promote the story and further the overall fun that everyone as players has at PFS. It is an amazing feeling watching the group act as a team and make it through difficult situations that you as a GM throw at them. So please if you want to feel that feeling. Step up and volunteer!! :)

I could REALLY use at least ONE GM more this week. If we get more then one then I can open the event up even further for more then 20 RSVP's. But I need the base 3 GM's to be able to run 20 people, and as of this moment I have 2. If I do not get 3 GM's I will decrease the event to 14 people. So PLEASE any volunteers for GMing?? :)

Having played the Throaty Mermaid.... two things
One, it is amazingly fun, wish i could play it again, but cant make it this Sunday. ENJOY it. But two, its realllly not PG or even PG 13, so not for kidlings experienced that in an unfortunate way when playing. Just thought i would put that out there.

There are some areas that can be brushed over and kind of edited out but not a big thing for the most part and does not detract from the overall story :)

Wish you could make it to the Source though Erik :)
