Game Day at Tower Games (Sat - March 15th)

PFS #3-20: The Rats of Round Mountain—Part I: The Sundered Path

Tier 7-11

GM: Tim

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for Levels 7–11.

In an effort to prevent an alliance between the Aspis Consortium and a contingent of ratfolk with incredible regional influence, the Pathfinder Society sends its best agents deep into a Darklands passage to the heart of Round Mountain, where the ratfolk hold court. But as is often the case for Pathfinders, the journey is an adventure unto itself, potentially deadly enough to prevent the PCs from reaching their destination at all.

"The Sundered Path" is the first scenario in the two-part The Rats of Round Mountain campaign arc. The story concludes in Pathfinder Society Scenario #3–22: The Rats of Round Mountain—Part II: Pagoda of the Rat. Both chapters are intended to be played in order and consecutively; PCs who do will receive a special reward at the arc's conclusion.

Written by Kyle Baird.

PFS #5–12: Destiny of the Sands—Part 1: A Bitter Bargain

Tier 1-5

GM: T.J. (1-2)

Gm: Jack (4-5)

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for levels 1–5.

Amenopheus has learned that the legacy of the Jeweled Sages lies near the Osirian trade city of Eto, and the Pathfinder Society has pledged its support in the Sapphire Sage’s investigation of his ancient order; however the lead dried up—that was until a familiar information broker contacted Amenopheus offering an exchange of services. To assist an ally and unlock the secrets of Osirion’s past, the Society must deal with a deadly antagonist once more by sending the PCs to fulfill the bargain and collect its due. The only question is what price their foe will demand.

“A Bitter Bargain” is the first scenario in the three-part Destiny of the Sands campaign arc. It is followed by Pathfinder Society Scenario #5–15: Destiny of the Sands—Part 2: "Race to Seeker’s Folly" and Pathfinder Society Scenario #5–16: Destiny of the Sands—Part 3: "Sanctum of the Sages." All three chapters are intended to be played in order.

Content in “A Bitter Bargain” also contributes directly to the ongoing storylines of the Osirion, Qadira, and Sczarni factions.

About this Game Day:

This is an announcement for a locally scheduled regular Game Day scheduled for Tower Games in South Minneapolis, Minnesota scheduled for Saturday afternoons. The game will start promptly at 1:00 PM. With GMs arriving an hour early for prep and questions. Depending on the table and/or Scenario, games can run as late as 6pm.

We cater to new players and experienced Pathfinders alike, both young and old. All of our members are fantastic and display a true love for the game. We offer a friendly environment to meet new players and to experience the fun of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game with other fans. As a family friendly group we encourage families to join the fun as well.  It should be noted that although Pathfinder Society adventures are written with a PG-13 rating in mind, we place no age restriction on play (children under the age of 15 are expected to have parent or guardian supervision during the games).

I look forward to seeing you there.

Check out Tower Games' website for more info on the store.

This Gameday is hosted by Tim and Tower Games.

GMs for this event will be Tim, Trevor, and Jack.

Any idea at what tier you'll be running Bitter Bargain?

    March 13, 2014

Sweet... Banh Xeo the Great Spirit Crow Sage will be ready with the deepest secrets of the celestial bureaucracy, fists of the scouring earth sunrise, and the six demon bag.

Oi, can I get a volunteer to run a third table? We have the demand it seems for another table of a 1-2 scenario OR another table of Rats. I would prefer to not wait list anyone.

Beat you to it (though I have never played first steps. Gotta get my GM creds in when I can. Still need to find 8 tables before Gen Con, at least, to hit my goal there.

I haven't played First Steps either, although I've GM'd a number of times.

Is there still room at the scenario 5-12 table? I signed up and am waitlisting. Looks like maybe there is a spot based on the table attendance though?

    March 14, 2014

    • Timothy B.

There probably will be room. Let us see about adding a third table.

I wanted to give people that weren't at CotN a chance to play Bitter Bargain since Part 2 came out a couple of weeks ago and will likely be ran in multiple locations. Looks like a great 3-parter for some Egyptian tomb flavored fun.

  • Daniel

Do Rats of round mountain 1&2 HAVE to to be played consecutively? And is the boon earned from this worth the definitive commitment?

    March 11, 2014

    • Timothy B.

It's a helpful boon, but it's not really super great in my opinion. It won't come into play often.

Typical. Thanks for the honest review though!

Thank you very much. Realized I could have looked them up on paizo's site.

      March 11, 2014

No prob. I was scheduling Legion out for the next few months so I was copying and pasting descriptions anyways.
