Game Day at FFG (Sunday - Apr 1)

This Week:

#3-18: The God's Market Gamble (Three Tables)

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for levels 1–5.

Valuable relics of religious natures have been disappearing on their way into Absalom and the Pathfinder Society stands to lose countless irreplaceable artifacts if the cause isn't found. Amid the bustling markets of the God's Market in the shadow of the Starstone Cathedral, the Society sets a plan in motion to ensure the parties responsible for the recent thefts are caught and brought to justice.

Written by Dennis Baker.

#5: Mists of Mwangi (Two Tables)

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st to 5th level characters (Tiers: 1–2, 4–5).

Pathfinder Lugizar Trantos recently returned from the Mwangi Expanse with haunted eyes and a pack full of strange idols. Absalom's famed Blakros Museum purchased his pieces and Lugizar vanished. The strange monkey idols he pulled from the misty jungles of Mwangi carry with them a fell curse, and now their power has laid claim to the museum. Can the Pathfinder Society uncover the source of the curse in time, or will the Blackros Museum be forever lost to the mists of Mwangi?

#50: Fortune's Blight

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 5th to 9th level characters (Tiers: 5–6 and 8–9).

You're sent to the wild River Kingdoms to find and kill a green hag who holds the last fragment of a powerful ancient sword called Passion's Edge, sundered into three pieces a decade ago. Things aren't as simple as they seem: the last creature to control the fabled sword wants it back at any cost, ghosts of the sword's past seek revenge for wrongs committed by former wielders of Passion's Edge, and the Pathfinder Society wants the sword whole again before being returned to Absalom. Madness, murder, and mayhem await you in the River Kingdoms!

Fortune's Blight was partially outlined at PaizoCon 2009 during the "Design a Pathfinder Society Scenario" seminar.

About this Game Day:

This is an announcement for a locally scheduled game day on the first and third Sunday of every month at the Fantasy Flight Games Event Center in Roseville, Minnesota. We try to schedule multiple low-tier tables and at least one high-tier table for each session and manage three regular tables, with a fourth becoming a regular occurrence. Games last five hours (scheduled to end at 5:00) and the GMs arrive an hour early for set-up and questions.  While registration for events is not required, it is encouraged as registered attendees will be guaranteed a seat for play (information regarding registration can be found below).

We cater to new players and experienced Pathfinders alike, both young and old. All of our members are fantastic and display a true love for the game. We offer a friendly environment to meet new players and to experience the fun of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game with other fans. As a family friendly group we encourage families to join the fun as well.  It should be noted that although Pathfinder Society adventures are written with a PG-13 rating in mind, we place no age restriction on play (children under the age of 15 are expected to have parent or guardian supervision during the games).

I look forward to seeing you there!

This Game Day at Fantasy Flight Games is hosted by Ryan Bolduan (Venture Captain)

    Glad to have Aaron back

Great turn out. the 7 player table was a bit heavy, but honestly anything over 5 player is overkill this season / previous seasons so already sitting at 6, I was glad we got to seat every one. I got to meet quite a few new faces which was great. I personally did not care for the module itself, there may be more that I did not know behind the scenes as to the parts i did not like so I look forward to getting a chance to run it as GM in the future to see it from the other side. This was the first time I got to sit at one of Andy's tables and he did a great job running the module for such a large table. Every one got to do something :)

the place was packed like a sardine can and was echoing and hard to hear but it was a blast. If we get that many again we should move a second table down stairs to spread it out just a bit more.

Great times. Ryan did a great job GMing and the other PCs at my table did a great job role playing this complex scenario.

This was an interesting, more RP scenario until the very end. Some new faces showed up so I got to enjoy some new people. I thoroughly enjoyed today.

We were packed so tight it was hard to hear the GM talk over the background noise. Thanks to Duncan and everyone else who ran, it was a fun adventure.

Tons of fun as always. Had a great group who enjoyed my fanatic character, especially his fascination with burning things.

See you all there folks! With this kind of turn-out I plan on arriving early to claim our space as best as I can (one group will need to play down below).

Thanks for the support everybody! With Duncan's assistance we have five tables for Sunday. Should all of you make it (I really hope you make it), we'll break our all-time attendance record pretty cleanly. In any case - we certainly have room, so bring more players if you know anybody.

    Duncan wants to GM

Brian offered, but I hate to monopolize Brian's time as a GM since he's been helping out so much lately. Does anybody want to open up a 5th table since we have the players? Doing so would drop us back to five player tables.

NOTE: God's Market Gamble is out. We WILL NOT be running Citadel of Flame.

The good thing is, since Jon has opened up an event that day as well, we can shuffle any extras over to him. He usually doesn't get started till 1pm so, if we are full up, the extras will have plenty of time to march over to the Source.

Your guest was for Jake who is now on the waiting list. ;-)

    March 28, 2012

  • Steve

Jason was right... I accidentally had a guest selected. I corrected. There should be room for 1 more person.

    March 28, 2012

  • Jason O.

Chris D. usually has a few more with him. are you coming solo this time?

    March 28, 2012

  • Jason O.

Just looking over the attendee list.
I would also imagine that Jake on the waitlist is secretly Steve's +1

    March 28, 2012

  • Wendall R.

@Andy - It sends out an email notifying you that you have to manually jump into the newly-opened spot. A bit of a hassle.

I'll just monitor the situation and see how things are looking closer to the weekend... if there's a 5th table that's cool, but I'd hate to force a 7-man table. That gets hectic for everyone involved. :)

    March 28, 2012

  • Todd

I was notified via email that a spot opened up after I got on the waiting list. Thanks for having me!

    March 28, 2012

  • Ryan

@Wendall - Noted and agreed. I am going to start switching lists to Manual Wait lists so Andy and I can manage them fairly.

    March 28, 2012

  • Andy C.

I would go ahead and show up though, as while we prefer not to we can seat seven with the gm and table majority ok. Plus Ryan may see about options for a 5 th table.

    March 28, 2012

  • Andy C.

I think it does but it pulls in waitlist folks on a first come first serve. You'll note that Todd was also waitlisted and is now in a spot. I don't recall if he was waitlisted prior to you though.

    March 28, 2012

  • Wendall R.

Wait list doesn't automatically put you in when an opening happens? That's cheesy. I check my email maybe once a day, so there's no way I can manually click an opening if one arises.

    March 28, 2012

  • Ryan

Wow...nearly full already. If we had space I'd open a 5th table, but we don't. :-( Please, if we hit our cap and you can't make it, please make sure to mark your registration as "not going" so we can make sure there's room.

Changed my RSVP, a friend from Barcelona is thinking about trying to get into it here. He did a lot of D & D in Spain. I will delete the + 1 if he decides to back out.

    March 26, 2012

  • Brian L.

I have played both Citadel of Flame and Mists of Mwangi. Tap me to run if we wind up doing those.
