Game Day at Village Games (Sat - Nov 10th - MORNING)

This Month: #2-01: Before the Dawn - Part I: The Bloodcove Disguise

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st to 7th level characters (Tiers: 1–2, 3–4, and 6–7).

You are sent to Aspis Consortium-infested Bloodcove to gather supplies for a nearly doomed Pathfinder mission nearby. Disguised as ordinary merchants, you have little time to gather what you need and get out before the Consortium discovers and destroys you.

The Bloodcove Disguise is the first scenario in the two-part Before the Dawn campaign arc. Pathfinder Society Scenario #2-02: Before the Dawn—Part II: Rescue at Azlant Ridge is the sequel.

About this Game Day:

This is an announcement for a locally scheduled monthly Game Day scheduled for Village Games in Anoka, Minnesota scheduled for the second Saturday of the month. The game will start promptly at 11:00 AM immediately after the store opens and will last until dinner break at 5:00 PM and is limited to six seats. Registered attendees will be guaranteed a seat for play (further information regarding registration can be found below).

This event does have an associated entry fee of $3.00 which includes entry to event and 1 drink token (a $2 value).

We cater to new players and experienced Pathfinders alike, both young and old. All of our members are fantastic and display a true love for the game. We offer a friendly environment to meet new players and to experience the fun of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game with other fans. As a family friendly group we encourage families to join the fun as well. It should be noted that although Pathfinder Society adventures are written with a PG-13 rating in mind, we place no age restriction on play (children under the age of 15 are expected to have parent or guardian supervision during the games).

I look forward to seeing you there!

To the 4 guys from Owatonna! Thanks for coming up and playing. Please don't hesitate to let myself, Ryan Blomquist, or Jon Dehning if there is anything you need to help get PFS off the ground in your neck of the woods.

Its been a long time since I've run a table with essentially a group of complete newbies. We had 3 that were basically completely new to not just Pathfinder, but to table top roleplaying. All three of them did very well understanding and picking up the rules, and were very open minded about listening to what their options were and my suggestions to help them out with tactics that would help them not get killed. The other 3 guys are not Pathfinder novices, but completely new to Pathfinder Society play, and it was an honor to help all 6 enjoy a fun romp through a Jungle-side port city.

Andy I have a friend (and a friend of his) that are interested in coming Saturday; both would be new to Pathfinder/PFS. That would put us at 1 over for 2 tables, How would you like to handle it?

You may want to make sure you have the lvl 1 pregens with you. Vinny and I are going to try to prep some lvl 1s if we are at that table. My friends were going to try to have chars ready, but better safe to have the pregens. I'm on my iPhone so excuse the bad typing

Ok, looks like with the mix of levels and preferences, that we will have one low tier of Before the Dawn and one mid tier. Doesn't look like we will make a first steps happen, but I have talked with our other venture-officers and we can all come down to help accommodate an Owattona game day probably sometime after con of the North. So if you guys are alright with it we'll get you involved for your first session with a low tier of Before the Dawn series this weekend.

Looking forward to meeting you and getting some Pathfinder Society going in Owattona.

You may want to stop for a meal before you get there as the store doesn't allow outside food. We stop for an hour between sessions. The store unlocks its doors at 11, but I can meet you at 10:30 if you like

As for the 4/5 pm meal we can easily direct you to many places within a mile or so if the store.

Andy, I have played part 1 already. If you need, I could run part 1 and play part 2. I could also run that First steps for the morning if needed.

Dave, looks like the tables are filling up. If you'd like to help out by GM'ing Bloodcove Disguise, that would be awesome. I'll be GM'ing the new folks through First Steps.

That should work for me. I will plan accordingly.

Any idea if one of these tables could be a Tier 3-4 table?

    October 23, 2012

    • Andy C.

If we get two tables, chances are one will be First Steps and the other will be at least tier 3-4 for the Bloodcove Disguise and Azlant Ridge.

LLooks like we have a couple brand new folk to pathfinder society looking to come play. Any questions about characters or the guide to organized play?

    October 22, 2012

    • Andy C.

You can if you would like, however these two are a two part story arc, so it is suggested you play them with same characters. If we get enough for two tables would you guys like to play part one and two of first steps instead?

      October 23, 2012

    • John C.

I don't think it would be a problem if we played First Steps! We are all new to PFS so they shouldn't mind if it was changed.
