This Week:

Shades of Ice, Part I - Written in Blood

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st to 5th level characters (Tiers: 1-2 and 4-5).

When the Decemvirate sends the PCs to the Viking city of Trollheim in the frigid northern Lands of the Linnorm Kings to deliver a package to an allied scholar there, the Pathfinders soon find themselves unwelcome visitors. Forced to navigate the rugged, isolated city and interact with the standoffish natives, can they deliver their cargo to its target, or will they find themselves exiled from the city... or worse?

Written in Blood is the first scenario in the three-part Shades of Ice campaign arc. It continues in Pathfinder Society Scenario #2-17: Shades of Ice—Part II: Exiles of Winter and concludes in Pathfinder Society Scenario #2-19: Shades of Ice—Part III: Keep of the Huscarl King. All three scenarios are intended to be played in order.

About this Game Day:

This is an announcement for a locally scheduled game day on the first and third Thursday of every month at the Fantasy Flight Games Event Center in Roseville, Minnesota. We try to schedule multiple low-tier tables for each session and manage three regular tables, with a fourth becoming a regular occurrence. Games last five hours (scheduled to end at 11:30) and the GMs arrive an hour early for set-up and questions.  While registration for events is not required, it is encouraged as registered attendees will be guaranteed a seat for play (information regarding registration can be found below).

We cater to new players and experienced Pathfinders alike, both young and old. All of our members are fantastic and display a true love for the game. We offer a friendly environment to meet new players and to experience the fun of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game with other fans. As a family friendly group we encourage families to join the fun as well.  It should be noted that although Pathfinder Society adventures are written with a PG-13 rating in mind, we place no age restriction on play (children under the age of 15 are expected to have parent or guardian supervision during the games).

I look forward to seeing you there!

This Game Day at Fantasy Flight Games is hosted by Dave Cook (Event Organizer for FFG).

OK, I am biased, but this was one of the most fun gaming nights for me GMing. The group seemed to enjoy foiling all the bad guys with pits, to my dismay. Thanks to Ryan for running the other table, which finished an hour before we did. Thanks to everyone for being flexible enough to drive "way up north" for the session. We should be back at FFG on the 5th of Dec.

Monsieur LeJerk learned a new 0-level spell tonight: Crap Self. It was a close one, hooray for lucky die rolls. Someday he might learn the 0-level: Die Stupidly, but for now he's still alive. Good times over-all though. Lots of laughs and thanks to Dave for being a great host!

Could I bring 1 guest even though we're at the max amount?

If so we both have level 5's ( fighter and wizard )
    and level 1's ( pallys )

Go ahead and show up. Your friend should get on Meetup and sign up on the wait list. Usually we have one person no-show. I can't say for sure that will happen though.

So there is room for your +1 now.

Why the venue change at the last minute? I hope everyone checks the site and we don't have scattered attendance.

    Played part III already

I have reduced this to two tables, since I don't have a third GM this week.

  • Sven

I'll play the Tier 4-5 if the APL of the table before adding +1 is at least 4. Otherwise more than happy to play my level 2 PC.

    November 13, 2012

  • Bryan G.

I am 2.1 and can play up if needed
