Game Day at The Source NOT CANCELED NOW (Sunday - Dec 9th )

Folks,

For those that are willing to brave the weather, Chris Meuleners will be stepping in to organize this event for the day. Do not risk travel if it will be difficult for you, also PLEASE be careful! If you do plan to attend, plan some extra time into your commute so you can arrive on time. We will be short a couple GM's and will need to assign tables as we are more aware of our final numbers. If you would be willing and able to step in to GM if we are short, come prepared with anything you think you will need.

-jon lamkin

p.s I will still not be able to come due to the weather and my wife not wanting me to chance it. again my apologies and Thank you Chris for stepping up!!! :)

Pathfinder Society Scenario #4–09: The Blakros Matrimony

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for levels 3–7.

The eldest daughter of the prominent Blakros family is set to wed an influential Hellknight, and the Pathfinder Society is invited to the festivities. Dressed for a wedding befitting royalty, a team of Pathfinders attend the ceremony on behalf of the Decemvirate, but will their presence ultimately strengthen the Society's relationship with the influential Blakroses, or will events at the wedding bring the already tenuous alliance to a breaking point?

Written by Thurston Hillman. This is a new one folks :)

Pathfinder Society Scenario #24: Decline of Glory

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st to 7th level characters (Tiers: 1–2, 3–4, and 6–7).

When the son of a famous Pathfinder gains control of his father's holdings in Taldor, the Pathfinder Society decides to build a new lodge there as a base to explore the many ruins of that crumbling empire. Unfortunately, the Taldan Phalanx has its eye on the holdings and an ancient curse has turned many of the residents into the walking dead. Can you survive the tangled web of Taldor's politics and fight off the echoes of the past or will you, too, see your glory decline?

Written by Tim Hitchcock

Folks,

Make sure if you are playing in Decline of Glory that you have NOT played it before or you might have to play it for no credit. I look forward to seeing everyone. Soon we will be doing some 5-9 and 7-11 scenarios, as soon as next week maybe.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Also be sure to give me your class and level as well as which one you prefer to play in.

Thank you!!

-jon :)

About this Game Day:

This is an announcement for a locally scheduled game day Sunday at The Source in Falcon Heights, Minnesota. We try to schedule one to two low-tier tables and one higher-tier table is starting up for the regulars. Games last five hours (scheduled to end at 6:00) and the GMs arrive an hour early for set-up and questions. We cater to new players and experienced Pathfinders alike, both young and old. All of our members are fantastic and display a true love for the game.

We offer a friendly environment to meet new players and to experience the fun of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game with other fans. As a family friendly group we encourage families to join the fun as well. It should be noted that although Pathfinder Society adventures are written with a PG-13 rating in mind, we place no age restriction on play (children under the age of 13 are expected to have parent or guardian supervision during the games). We look forward to seeing you

So, I'm not one to leave reviews very often. Not my nature. But I wanted to stop and give Chris props for doing such an awesome job as the interim organizer and Daniel for doing such an awesome job DMing Blakros Matrimony.

Chris had a mountainous job stepping in to run a game day on short notice and with so many folks being unable to attend due to the weather, and he pulled off two viable tables with no deaths. Daniel's task was just as monumental running a very complex scenario, and he pulled it off brilliantly. I cannot say Blakros Matrimony is my favorite PFS experience ever only because I can't choose between it and Eyes of the Ten Part I; other than the retirement arc, no other scenario has even come close and Daniel's GMing is a large part of that. Finally, I can't forget the four guys at the table with me; despite conflicting goals and some near-PvP moments, we hung together and made it through.

I look forward to seeing you all in two weeks!

    Good Gaming,
    Ryan B.

Thanks to the 11 others who came out. Props to the party of four lvl 1 characters I GM'd for who survived Decline of Glory with only 3 cure light wound spells available to them for healing.

I will not make it either. My snow blower isn't working and I have to get it going before my neighborhood gets too much snow this winter.

    December 9, 2012

      December 9, 2012

    • Jon L.

Got to love my wife I do :)

Good idea on the cancel. That snow is really coming down, and I keep hearing tales of folks flying into the ditch from 35W.

    December 9, 2012

    • Jon L.

It was not an easy decision. This is actually the first official time I have had to cancel in almost two years :)

      December 9, 2012

  • Marcella

Anyone have a character generator? Thinking of going with summoner or cleric. Thanks!

    December 7, 2012

  • Jeff H.

Dont have a generater for char but i can email you a char sheet I use for chreating toons. It calculates all the numbers an such for ya. Just have to enter in the info and there ya go. Ill email it to ya tonightif you need it still.

Also I plan on coming just to verify. I might have to leave early though depending on snow. I plow during winter just to let you know ahead of time.

    December 7, 2012

    • Jon L.

Thanks Jeff :) I am sure she would appreciate it. Hero Lab would not work for her as I can't email it or print it out while there. Thanks!! :)

      December 7, 2012

For whichever GMs are running Blakros: How does it look, time-wise? Long? Short? I ask because I've encountered a scheduling conflict such that I couldn't stick around any later than 5:30pm, so I was wondering whether I'd be fine or if I should revoke my RSVP to make room for someone else.
    Thanks!

it looks good. the scenario has the potential to go quick or go as fast as the speed of plot.
the number of people at the table will ultimately determine the overall time as they each need to do stuffs.

      December 6, 2012

    • Jon L.

You should be able to leave by 5:30 Jacob :) As encounters go and such it is not to bad. :)

      December 6, 2012

  • Kimberly S.

okay I do have a lvl 3 now to play the new one.
