Game Day at FFG (Sunday - Jan. 6th)

This Week: -

#4-04 King of the Storval Stairs:

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for levels 7–11.

The PCs are sent to map the Storval Stairs and ensure the stairs provide a safe route to the Storval Rise from Magnimar, but upon their arrival, they find the ancient site claimed and “ruled” by the self-proclaimed King of the Storval Stairs. Only through guile, diplomacy, or cold steel will the Pathfinders ensure access to iconic Thassilonian location.

Written by Dennis Baker.

#3-26 Portal of the Sacred Rune:

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for levels 7–11.

The Pathfinder Society has secured one end of a portal from Golarion leading to an isolated demiplane rife with adventuring opportunities. Now all that remains is gaining control of the other end, thereby ensuring safe and continued use by Pathfinders for years to come. The PCs are selected as the best chance the Decemvirate has of claiming the portal for their own.

About this Game Day:

This is an announcement for a locally scheduled game day on the first and third Sunday of every month at the Fantasy Flight Games Event Center in Roseville, Minnesota. We try to schedule multiple low-tier tables and at least one high-tier table for each session and manage three regular tables, with a fourth becoming a regular occurrence. Games last five hours (scheduled to end at 5:00) and the GMs arrive an hour early for set-up and questions. While registration for events is not required, it is encouraged as registered attendees will be guaranteed a seat for play (information regarding registration can be found below).

We cater to new players and experienced Pathfinders alike, both young and old. All of our members are fantastic and display a true love for the game. We offer a friendly environment to meet new players and to experience the fun of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game with other fans. As a family friendly group we encourage families to join the fun as well. It should be noted that although Pathfinder Society adventures are written with a PG-13 rating in mind, we place no age restriction on play (children under the age of 15 are expected to have parent or guardian supervision during the games).

I look forward to seeing you there!

This Game Day at Fantasy Flight Games is hosted by Ryan Blomquist (Venture-Captain) and Andrew Christian (Venture-Lieutenant).

Good job Pathfinders for sticking it out to the bitter end. I played that as tough as I saw it played at GenCon and you held your own. Congrats/Condolences to Xavier for dying in battle.

Kevin did a good job but this scenario was too long. Well over 6 hours with only 1 10 minute break, and hardly any distractions at the table.

Dedicated NERDS!!!! Even when tossed out of the game store into the Cold January/Minnesota night, we played-on and in the end, the "King" of Storvald Stairs was no more.

The upside of getting killed and put in the Bag of Holding is that I got to keep my gloves on.

Oh man, two scenarios of equal tier, and I haven't played either of them? How am I gonna pick? ;)

If you want a challenge, meet the king of the storval stairs.

Pick one (I vote Red Harvest) and update the meetup. Then folks will see the update and respond.

i second that. I usually just read the listed scenarios and skip the chatter.

I added Portal to the Sacred Rune. Red Harvest ran fairly recently, and we might get a better draw with something fresh. If that's a deal-breaker, we can do Red Harvest instead. I prepped it for the last time it ran.

So, I've seen nothing but radio silence; who would be interested in a table of Red Harvest or Portal of the Sacred Rune? Since it looks like only one table will be interested in Storval Stairs, I could offer one of those scenarios to try to lure a few more people in.

Darn! Already played this one. Maybe if we get a second table of a different scenario I can play (like Red Harvest).

Maybe. A question to the community, then; do we have a volunteer willing to run a third table? If we do, I'll post it as a secondary option. I know there are folks who have played Storval Stairs locally who might come out for a different scenario. Its just a question of finding a GM.
