Outerbike Event - Moab, Utah

  • Oct 1, 2013 · 8:00 AM
  • Town of Moab

This is what a bike vacation is all about. The wife and I are heading up to Moab for Outerbike on Tues 10/1 and will be camping using our 25' camper. The camper sleeps 6 "including us" so we have room for 4 but they are full beds so unless you're a couple you may not be comfortable sleeping next to someone you don't know that well. This camper is complete with kitchen, bath, shower and all the amenities of home. We have room for 2 in our car for the trip up and back. We plan on coming back Monday morning 10/7. We will be bringing our 2 small pups "15lbs each" so if you don't like dogs this may not work for you. This is a Huge awesome event! Please read all the information below and go to the website to get all the info you can. The wife and I will be doing the Hazard County ride on Thursday as well as the Fri-Sun events. Room with us is first come, first serve so let me know your interested as soon as you can. There will be tons of vendors at this event. Free demo bikes and shuttles all weekend!

Outerbike is a chance for you to test ride next year’s bikes and gear on world-class roads and trails in Moab, Utah. For three days, the world’s best bike and gear manufacturers will be set up at the Outerbike Expo site. You can walk through and see next year’s innovations, pick a bike you’d like to try, and take it for a ride. Repeat as needed. There are 20 miles of connected loops that range from fun and easy to technical and gnarly, plus a paved bike path leading to two National Parks for road rides. Your $150 registration fee buys you lunches, shuttled rides, prizes, movies, parties, and beer!

The riding for Demo Days includes the "Brand Trails" network located adjacent to the event site. In addition to the large trail network, riders will also have the opportunity to take shuttles to some of the more famous trails in the Moab area. Shuttles will run back and forth to the trail selected for that day: Fri- Slickrock, Sat- Mag 7, Sun- Sovereign!
