WEEKLY Anime Night OMG!

Anime night is REALLY shaping up into a highly successful event! The bugs are mostly worked out now. We've mostly nailed down a stable routine. Grey and AZN have generously invested a lot of their time and effort to bring our members a really sweet, friendly, and attendee-participatory weekly event.

EVERYONE is now welcome to bring their own anime DVDs for all attendees to decide by consensus what will be watched that Anime Night. That said, no attendee is expected or obligated to bring an anime, but if you have an anime you'd like to share, please feel free to bring it in. We do have a couple of rules: the anime you bring has to be an official licensed copy, and it cannot be rated more than PG-13. The content appropriateness of unrated animes (and many family-friendly indie animes can't afford cost-prohibitive rating fees) will be decided on a case by case basis. We encourage the usage of common sense; just pretend and imagine the event organizers as an impromptu unofficial ratings board.

In addition, our homemade digital projector has been repaired -- awesome -- and is working in conjunction with our BOSE portable surround sound system. Big huge screen ON THE WALL! Big 7-foot screen!

Anime Night is beginning to attract a regular small audience of 8-10 people. Popcorn/snacks are provided, but feel free to bring your own munchies or to share with the group.

All that being accomplished, Anime Night is being UPGRADED. Anime Night is being metamorphosed from an unjustly obscure semi-monthly event into a recurring center-stage featured weekly event every Sunday Night at 7 PM! This time is still negotiable -- please complain soon if you'd prefer Anime Night held at a different time on Sunday.

Weekly Anime Night at 7 PM on Sundays brings MEH's regular weekly programming closer to being fulfilled with programming nightly on four out of seven of each day of the week -- score!

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
