Let’s mix it up a bit and create our own boot camp workout.
There’s a good set of stairs next to the curling club in Sunny Side on Memorial Drive. The stairs consist of 11 flights, one of 17 steps and ten of 15. 167 steps. Apparently, if you climb to the top roughly 4.5 times, you'll have climbed the equivalent of one Calgary Tower.
This will be a 'go at your own pace / make your own route' event. Some may choose to combine the stair climbing with running the hillside and/or by adding in some resistance exercises between sets.
It would be great to have a small group together for motivation!
The bottom of the stairs is across the pedestrian bridge from Prince’s Island. You might want to bring a headlamp.
