Join us as we visit many of the cultural hot spots in and around the Triangle! We will feature all sorts of interesting activities -- ethnic restaurants, museums, festivals, movies, music of all kinds, and outdoorsy events so we can also appreciate the great climate and beautiful scenery we have here in North Carolina. We hope to provide relaxing and fun options to help members get to know each other.
Museum, Art, and Culture Fun (aka "MACF") does have a photo requirement. You must submit a recent photo of yourself and post it in your profile before being approved into the group. You will be declined until a recognizable picture is posted. We do, after all, need to be able to recognize you at Meetup events!
We encourage all members to check out and utilize the Suggested Meetup feature for this group. Be an Event Host for the day, if you'd like! Look for the Suggest a Meetup prompt, fill in the date, location and details about your event. Once 3 members RSVP a 'yes', the event is automatically announced to all members and it is then highlighted under the Upcoming Events tab.
MACF Organizers regularly scan the Triangle area's various arts and entertainment calendars and choose to feature on our Meetup pages, those events that fit nicely with our purpose. Please note that MACF is not affiliated with any specific venue, nor are we the actual event planners. We simply provide a platform where folks with similar interests can meet one another, hang out together and enjoy the event. Many events will have free admission. Other events will require the purchase of a ticket for admission. In those cases, you will arrange for your own ticket purchase, either by purchasing it online or by going in person to the venue's box office.
Please read each of MACF's event descriptions carefully, and plan accordingly. We'll keep you all updated as best we can, but every event we feature is open to the general public as well. Folks outside of MACF are also securing tickets to go. These events can and often do, sellout more quickly than we initially anticipated.
